Gapping Problem - Please help

I’m changing out my entire bag. Here’s my new setup:

Driver - 10.5

3W - 14.5

5W - 18.5

7W - 22.5

6i - 25.5

7i - 29.5

8i - 34

9i - 39

PW - 44

GW - 49

SW - 54

LW - 60

Putter

That’s only 13 clubs. My previous setup was DR, 3W, 3i-9i, PW - LW, Putter.

My new setup is Cobra and lofts are stronger and bigger gaps. How should I alter my setup? I was thinking to strengthen PW & GW by 1* then go 52, 56, 60.

What do you guys think?

At 48 degrees your gap wedge essentially becomes a pitching wedge, and then the 52-56-60 setup makes sense.

I'd say either is fine. I'd probably just play it as you list above to start.

I play PW/GW/SW/LW of 44/49/54/57 (the last one can be 57, 58, or 60 depending on which wedge I use). I don't really care what the gap is between the SW and LW, since I rarely take a full swing with the LW. The gaps of 5 degrees between PW-GW-SW may produce yardage gaps that are a tab larger than would some people may prefer. However, I think these clubs have enough loft that it is easy to make a softer swing with them and still get good results (enough height and ball stops fast enough).

If those haha work, then you are good to go. With the ones club remaining I'd consider a specialty club of some sort. I carry 2 54 * sand wedges. One for sand and the other for pitches and tight lies around the green.

You need to try them first and see what yardages you hit.

I think that these are a bunch of lofts, but not real yardages. If you have a distance gap, there's not enough information to help here. Arbitrarily bending clubs isn't the best answer, because lofts aren't linear. It's why you have 4, then 4.5, then 5º lofts. If you tell us where your actual distances are too far apart, we can give you some better advice.

So I’ve played 4 rounds with my 3,6,7W and have an idea of distances. Driver and irons were just ordered yesterday so I don’t know new distances on them. I currently have a 54 & 58 wedge. I should probably wait, receive the driver and irons and play a dozen rounds with new clubs and current 54/58. Then I’ll probably better know which club I need for 14th
