What Golf Pride grip are you playing?

What Golf Pride grip are you playing this year? How many extra wraps do you use? Same or different grip in woods/irons/wedges?

I'm trying to figure out what I want to order on the T100's when they come out. I currently have the MCC blackouts on all of my clubs and love these except I wish the lower hand was built up more. I have the MCC +4 align midsize on another set and like the feel of these a lot, but find them to be a bit too soft and squishy in the midsize and they are also on the heavy side for grips. Thinking maybe I should try the reg MCC with a few extra wraps in the low hand so they are built up but not too squishy like the +4s. Really like the +4 in wedges in particular for partial shots and chipping. Could also do the same thing with Tour Velvet Align midsize since I like those a lot and are a firmer feel even though I prefer the partially corded feel in MCC. If only we could order custom GP grips...maybe one day?

A regular old G2 Golf Pride wrap. I fell in love with the Lampkin Wrap Tek, but that was discontinued. I seriously doubt if the Golf Pride wrap will ever be discontinued.

As per your question making them feel like a plus 4., I regripped my clubs with the Lampkins and used extra tape to build It up down below. This was layering blue tape in a stagger step . Overtime, I don't think this is what I want, because it takes out too much wrist action that creates speed. But other people seem to like it.

Buy the type of grip that you like and it can be made to any size that you want.

CP2 Wraps Standards with +4 wraps. I had the Tour Velvet Mid Plus+4s earlier in the season, but they messed up my swingweight preferences, and were very slightly too thick for me. Going +4 wraps under standards gave me near midsize heft without changing my swingweights. The feel of the CP2 Wraps kicked out all forms of the Tour Velvets, which I preferred to anything else for the last decade. I have this on all my clubs (minus putter).

I play exactly what you are considering and I love it. Black/white New Decade Midsize with about 4 wraps under the right hand. Yes, I know this is the same concept as the MCC+4 but I tried one and wasn't a fan of the feel. I've used MCC for years and every time I try something new I always come back. I don't have big hands, but I love the bigger feel and it helps me fight my hook (in my head at least.) I do all my own club work, I'd feel weird asking for someone to build up a grip that much...plus I get to make sure it's done exactly how I want it.

NDMC, 1 full wrap total length + 4 more in gradient layering under the lower hand. I went away from bigger grips because I thought standard with 0 wraps "felt" right, but results much favor the larger diameters. My shots go so much straighter, consistently.

Ive played different grips depending on the club, but ive almost cut off 2 of my fingers on the left hand, so traction has become more important than ever, so im about to go back to my old favorite, New Decade Mid with Asymmetrical BU on all., i have found noting to be just like them. I like the shape of MCC+4, but it dont feel like New Decade to me, so it seems like a have a preference for the feel BU tape and stretched grips gives vs more rubber. We should all go by what we like the best, and the grip is our only connection to the clubs so they are important.

Yep. The TV +4s are the first Golf Pride grip I've used in YEARS. I was always a Lamkin Crossline/X10/Z5 Tour Taper user. But I decided to try out the TVs and they are impressive. Much better feel than the old Tour Velvets.

I go MCC align midsize grips with 3 wraps under the bottom hand and two on the top hand. Build up with grip tape to make it a bit thicker.

Z Cord... no wraps. My former grips were Lamkin UTX. They were perfect - tacky, but very aggressive traction from the cord.

I recently purchased a new set of Mizuno irons, and the Lamkins I had grown to love were no longer an option from Mizuno (discontinued by Lamkin), so I rolled the dice on the Z cords. I can't comment on durability, as mine have only seen a few rounds. That aside, I love everything else about them!

How do you like those with adding wraps under the low hand? Can you feel a drop off or ridge where the extra low hand tape is?

This past month I have switched my wedges, long clubs and irons to GP CP2 Wrap - midsize. The slightly thicker low-hand area really helps with lighter grip pressure. Also, I have less "fidget" during setup than with thinner grips.

Note: My TE irons came with stock 52-gram UTx grips, standard. I asked the TE source clubfitter to build up the UTx to midsize with extra tape, but they came out too thin. In switching to the 64-gram CP2, I lost about 2 swingweight points. But, the irons and wedges all feel smooth.

In my previous set of irons, I had used Pure DTX Midsize and really liked them. I had built up the wedges with a couple of extra wraps under the low hand.

I like them a lot. I have no way to measure the exact diameter but the extra wraps appear to be the same size as a midsize MCC +4 i have on one of my other wedges (although, the MCC +4 feels a lot softer). I can still feel the ridge even with the extra tape build-up but it's always been a subtle feeling. I could tell that it's there when I'm looking to place my fingers but It's not obnoxiously large enough where i feel like its in the way if that makes sense.

Started playing the BCT Cords with 4 wraps last spring. Love the firm feel and feedback. Read complaints about them getting slick easily, so when mine were showing these signs I washed them with soapy water and a steel brush and they are good as ever.

I wish I could play that but they don't make it in a midsize unless you're Koepka
