Least favorite pro swings

1. Matt Kuchar, so restricted and contrived looking. Squirty low fade trajectory. Hard to watch

2. Lee Westwood, barrel chested, drops head, bendy arms

3. Webb Simpson, no lateral movement. Very jerky hip turn thru the ball.

McDowell. Not sure why it just annoys me.

Justin Rose. Maybe it’s the pre shot routine, maybe the fact I find his teacher annoying, but The whole deal looks mechanical and contrived.

I happen to love that guys move....it's "genuine" for lack of a better word. His enthusiasm for the sport comes thru with each shot.

I like Webb Simpson, and pull for him. Great seeming guy. That said, his swing is not "eye candy", to put it nicely. Almost looks Stack N Tilt-y, or Right Side Swing-y.

Bubba Watson's swing is not one to emulate either....ugh. But oh man can he move it around, and ridiculously long.

Sometimes I'm emberrassed to visit GolfWRX.

Webb among current swings for me. I also never liked watching VJ's follow-through. Ricky Barnes' lateral movement. Also never liked Justin Leonard's and Stewart Cink's follow-throughs.

To the poster above, this is "least favorite" pro swings. I don't understand any opposition to the thread. They are pro swings, so obviously elite moves. Just some don't look appealing to different people.

Kuchar is most punchable dude on tour. Awful.

but he hits it damn good. Aint nothin wrong with that action.

Least favorite swings to watch (but all very good though) - Kuchar, Simpson, Bubba, Furyk, Mickelson, Westwood, and DJ. Just odd looking swings to watch is all.

I've never watched him play, but I'm pretty sure he's wiping the floor with me (currently a 5.0) tee to green.

When I think of "low and squirty" I think of a drunk buddy's heel struck 30yd slice, not a guy who's habitually top 10 in the money list every year. I don't even like the dude, but he swings it really well.

I mean, I would trade mine for any of them, so not exactly one to talk... but I get physically uncomfortable just watching Keegan Bradley swing a wedge. Not sure I could make contact with a ball bent over that far.

A couple that I don’t really dislike, but who tend to be overrated here on Gwx and other places (which I dislike): Fred Couples and Louis Oosthuizen. They are brilliant when they’re hot, but disappear regularly from the leaderboard. They both has swings that requires tremendous timing. Too floppy. The opposite of DJ, Langer etc...

You like Ricky's swing? I've seen him play every year at the john deere, he's got a pretty steep angle of attack on most his shots, really likes to mash them. Pretty much every shot I've seen him hit he just mashes down on.

I like Adam scotts swing but it's almost too mechanically perfect in positions. I like the ones where they don't have to practice much, Koepka, Oosthuizen. Both these guys spend little time on the range prior to a round.

I like Rory's swing since I'm 5'10" and 165 we are about the same proportions and he kills it. Also, I like Dustins swing since I play with a closed face at top of swing too.

Flatter swinging guys like Kisner I don't care for as much because they tend to be shorter and lower hitters although I appreciate their swings alot.

haha, I had to youtube his swing. You know how people say, such and such doesn't even look like he's swinging that hard? Well, Ted Potter, Jr. would not qualify. It looks like he's swinging as hard as he can:

Relax, this is actually a fun thread. We're just saying from purely, let's look at this guy's swing like you would at your playing partner's on Sunday morning. They're all on the PGA tour and obviously all effective relative to us mortals.
