someone could come along and be like a Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. Jordan is still the goat but those two come pretty close. Surprisingly we don't really have a Lebron James in golf, Rory isn't consistently good enough.

Probably a six year old kid out there right now who will do it. And he's probably Chinese.

Maybe this kids lifetime..... Heck, maybe this kid.

As has been talked about several times, Tiger brought popularity to golf for an entire generation of kids and young adults. Because of that we got a lot of kids coming in to the game who may not have really gone that route and would have played other sports through their childhood. Because of the lack of a single person out there, some of that has cooled off from the early 2000s. The younger generations are also not playing golf as much because of time/money/whatever other reason so it seems like we may be waiting a bit for the "next one". It may happen in our lifetimes, but it may not happen for another 30 years. In that time span, there's no real telling where the game of golf is going to go, either.

I don’t know man. I’d put money on prime Jordan playing Kobe and Lebron 2 on 1 and Jordan winning if they had ad a ref calling actual fouls. ( meaning they couldn’t just tackle him ).

I seen him beat many teams 5 on 1 for a full quarter before. He won’t be equaled ever in my opinion.

For tiger ? Never gonna see it. Not really anything close.

The elite players completely turnover every 10-15 years or so. I wouldn’t say there is anyone on the radar right now but the younger folks around here are potentially looking at seeing 5-8 complete generations of totally new golfers.

Those who actually pay attention to golf outside of the PGA Tour would know that Champ is much closer to a Luke List/Gary Woodland type prospect than the next big thing.

His life resume indicates pretty good PGA Tour pro but certainly not greatness.

Which players are you referring to?

I'm not sure 2-3 guys is enough to establish a real pattern.

Also one could argue what Tiger did was unprecedented.

Brooks Koepka has 7 wins with 4 majors in his entire career.

Tiger had 9 wins and 3 majors in 2000 alone.
