Used to play the old jaws wedge. Loved it. Tons of spin. Hope they bring this out.

Wish they would literally bring back the old x forged or jaws with new groove configuration and leave them alone. Roger had them right.

I'm pretty sure Roger had a hand in this design too...

Yes I'm aware of that, Roger HAD them right, now we're moving away from that.

Lol says a few random WRX’ers compared to years and years of R&D saying otherwise....

    Says the end user/customer.

    Huh? I don’t play MD’s bud......

Are you being purposely difficult? He is talking about himself... He offered his opinion that the O.G. Jaws were great, and these are at least from this one picture not as good looking as those..

Not being purposely difficult, just misunderstood his statement, that’s all.

    My apologies.

    FFS mrmikeac, sort yourself out!

I got sidetracked, tend to do that sometimes.

I’ll just stick to posting new equipment findings

    You are good at that!

Thanks for posting. Will be curious to see/hear the tech story on these - not sure what else they can do with a wedge and looks like a slightly updated evolution of the continued Mack Daddy line. MD, MD2, MD3, MD4, Jaws....no different than Spin Milled Titleist evolution. Personally, I'd prefer a slight tweak to a proven design then a total revamp like TaylorMade tends to do.

This image was posted elsewhere on this site and shows a late Sept release for the Jaws wedge. If the MD5 is coming in January then I’m waiting. I love my MD4s. The Jaws does look nice though.

I think the MD2 Tour Grind was one of the best/most underrated wedges of all time. It was nearly perfect.

New finish, a couple new grinds, and a new approach to grooves which is supposed to get us back to pre groove change spin rates! Not been able to hit them yet.....I will next week.

Sounds pretty sweet. If they get close to the pre-regulated groove spin rates, will the PGA or USGA take a further look and then try to change that as well?

No raw/vintage/oil can finish so I’ll likely pass. Also no 56X which is money in my MD4 Rae’s. They look pretty good however.
