Swing intentions or skills instead of technical thoughts - "hammer the nail"

I have made a massive improvement in iron and wedge play using the "hammer the nail into the ground" concept to pinch the ball crisply and am very happy with contact and ball flight improvements. Curious to know if anyone that uses this concept also applies it to driver or putter and if so, did you need to make any adjustments? I am firmly in the skills/intentions camp over whatever technical thoughts I used to think (e.g., low and slow, smooth transition, etc) and I am still ironing out what works for me with driver and putter.

I have heard tennis backhand for driver (lefty golfer right hand dominant) and was curious to see if anyone else conceptualized the various shots in golf to "skills." I feel like throw the club at the ball or throw the club to your target are a couple others. Just interested to know what works for people that I may be able to try out.

Really wouldn't call those technical thoughts as they are generally technically incorrect.

As for what I use, I don't use hardly any unless I'm really struggling and need to implement some fixes quickly during a round. Those rescue thoughts are either throw the frisbee or throw away from the top.

Adding speed to the club head makes sense OP. When you look at the distance the club head travels in the downswing vs the hands, arms, shoulders, hips etc.. then it makes sense to apply more speed to the club head so it will have time to catch up. People who get stuck are trying to apply speed with their rotation and their club head, hands and arms get left behind.
