Hello from an English lefty!

Good morning everybody. I’ve long been a lurker in these forums and have learned A LOT from the conversations and very much enjoy reading member’s views and opinions on equipment, technique, etc.

Thought I should probably introduce myself and start contributing to this amazing community, so here goes...

Hello ?? I’m Ian. I’m in the UK.

Mid-thirties, married with three young children. Haven’t had much time for golf these past few years as youngsters take up a huge amount of time, but as the older two now enjoy swinging a club at the range with me, or practicing on the local putting green, this means more golf time (yay!).

I don’t have an official handicap (I’m not a “club” person) but currently shoot in the low 90s at my local courses. Used to be a bit better - when I played more - but have only broken 80 once (79!).

Have built my bag mostly via preowned clubs on eBay - as a lefty it is almost impossible to find new clubs to trial in store - and am pretty happy with it now. Just the fairway wood to fix; either the shaft is too stiff or the head isn’t right, but whatever the problem, the damn thing misbehaves and is so inconsistent!

Anyway, that’s me - I look forward to getting to know some of you guys ??
