Anyone have course recommendations for Austin? Headed there this weekend and can't decide, most of the greats are private of course...

Wolfdancer is a little bit outside of town, but probably the best public in the area.
Aside from that, I would say Falconhead or Avery Ranch.

Falconhead, wolfdancer for me when I visit.

If you can get on Austin Country Club, it was the best inland course I have ever played.

Near Austin I have only played the Barton Creek complex of courses. They are good, but nothing I would travel out of my way to play, but if they are within 30-45 mins of where you are staying the Crenshaw course noted above is a good course. The Fazio courses are marginally better, but the Palmer is a dud.

Both Barton Creek Fazio courses you can only play if you’re a member or staying at the resort... which I am not

Thank you all for the recs
