What are your go to socks for golf trips? I’ve got 6 rounds in 4 days coming up. Concerned about blisters.

New ones. From the pro shop. Blisters generally come from a poor fitting shoe.

I have Swiftwick, DryMax, and Stance. All work great and have been tested in golf trip situations. I think the key is to change socks between rounds on your trip.

If I’m going on a trip I’ll pick up a new 3 pack or 2. I usually wear them 10-15 times and then they turn into “work/yard” socks.

When they are done being work socks I end up cutting the up and using them as rags in my workshop.

Don’t forget to wash them once before you wear them!

Darn tough merino wool. The thinner ones. Lifetime guarantee. Very comfortable

Kentwool. A little thicker I never get blisters. Bring an extra pair to change into in between rounds if it’s going to be hot. Rotate shoes between days.

Or the Footjoy socks with the grey heel and toe are nice too.

All of the above advice is good. Change socks and change shoes. I have a boot dryer at home for hunting boots and waders and it is nice to put my golf shoes on too to dry out the sweat. PEET makes travel versions. I'd invest in one of those too.

I've got an old pair of Adidas spikes that I break out for wet days and don't wear any socks with them... I'm a heathen. For normal days, I wear the FJ ProDry. If we're going to play two rounds in one day, I have the Peet Portable that

On -, @smashdn mentioned to dry my Nike's out between rounds while we grab some beer and eat.

I personally am a big fan of Bombas, but the real key is changing them frequently. On really hot days, I’ll throw on a new pair at the turn.

    Darn Tough T4088
I had a few Kentwool, nowhere near as good quality as Darn Tough - plus have to hand wash Kentwool, not use fabric softner when drying.
Darn Tough, just throw in normal laundry. Expensive but they last and wear well - lifetime warrantee - that's right. Any problems ever, return for a replacement pair. I have about 5 pair for the last year - still feel brand new, wear them daily.

I buy the copper fit low cut socks. They have them at Dicks. Fantastic socks. Soft, breathable, arch support, ankle tab. Everything I need in a golf sock and they’re cheap.

Medicine tape ( fabric ). Cover the area which frequently cause blisters for you. A nice pair of dry socks each time you put on the golf shoes. I like wool blend for cool weather and 90%+ cotton for short socks.
Oh, dry up the golf shoes each night or rotate two pairs if you have room in the luggage compartment. Moisture cause more friction = potential blisters. You could roll up the tissue paper from the hotel and extract the moisture then open the lace and the flap after you fisposed the wet tissue, if you could only carry one pair of golf shoes with you.
Someone mentioned a pair of better fitted golf shoes will prevent the blisters from happening. Medicine tape is for all of us whom have imperfect shapes of our feet.

Smartwool. I have some thicker and thinner depending on the golf shoes I am wearing them with. Quality socks make a huge difference on comfort.
