I just bought an Approach X10 and am loving the ease of use an accurate numbers. However, I didn’t bring my laptop to the beach and need to recharge the watch for a round today. Any idea if I can plug the watch directly into the wall (with an adapter) or is a laptop the only way to charge?

You should always charge using an adapter, unless you're synchronizing with the computer..
    Charges faster..

Yes, any power converter designed for USB will work, although charging rates may vary. You just need the proper cable to plug into the garmin.
Is Garmin still using the old Mini-usb rather than the micro-usb? I'm done with Garmin in all GPS related matters. Their screens are 10-15 year old technology, and the ones I've seen haven't updated their USB to micro so I end up having two different cables laying around.

I drop the 2 iron or one of the other UDI's based on course.
