100% could game that bag (with slightly softer shafts) and I would be good to go! Always love seeing his set-up.

I think he has 15 clubs in his bag. Usually he games the hybrid, but I think if the conditions were right he would swap in the u500 3 iron.

He should reduce it to 14 by taking that driver and throwing it in the nearest garbage can.

Unbelievable he still has it in play. Or at least hasn't snapped the Ventus and put something else in. Literally could not drive the ball any worse it's hard to watch the ball go OB every round.

I think his problem is that he's chasing distance with the driver too much and playing lower-spinning shafts that are making it uncontrollable. He played the best with that Blue Aldila that definitely was not low-spinning.

It's more his swing than anything else.

To the naked eye it looks virtually the same but recent side-by-side analysis has shown how different it is. I would never criticise anyone for trying to improve but it does show that it's a very fragile process on what to attempt to improve as many players have succumbed to the same problems that Spieth seems to be suffering from.

Yeah I remember seeing a slow motion analysis of his swing during the Open or a tournament around there and it was weird. So much different than what it was 2-3 years ago. Definitely seems a lot farther off from fixing anything than whatever he is saying. The swing just kind of reminds me of when Tiger went to Hank Haney and he jacked his swing up.

Thought I read that he helped design them. He wanted less offset and the thinner top line. So it makes sense he'd put them in the bag right away.

He's played 6.5's in his irons 4-9 since sometime in like 2016 or 2017. Had 6.0's before that.

at least Spieth isn’t firing his caddie or coach because of his poor play lately. I hate how so many top players are quick to ditch their team to shake things up. Sometimes it is warranted and I get it but many times it’s just an excuse to find a fresh start that backfires.

You know the old story about 3 woods. Trying to find one that works is hard enough. Updating year after year is a tall ask. I walked with Russ Henley today and he is still using 917s. When it's your livelihood, keeping what keeps the money flowing is sometimes more important.
