I've recently started taking JS' own perspective; not a slump at all. He just isn't winning. Look at the statistics. Not the commentator "stats"; I mean real, unbiased examination of his numbers. Every part of his "winning" game has been there at some point. He just hasn't been scoring over 72 holes.
BUT DAN, HIS DRIVER OMG HIS DRIVER HE'S HITTING .0037% FAIRWAYS WITH TS2 AND OH NO HOW ABOUT HIS SHAFT CHANGE AND HOW CAN HE SCORE WHEN...
...yeah yeah, now let's get real; who in the golfing universe hasn't spent a few weeks per year in disagreement with Big Poppi?

Not all of his stats are back to his winning game ways. Greens in regulation % is 189th, & 63rd in scrambling. If you are that low GIR while not in the top 10 in scrambling you obviously are not going to be able to win.

I'm predicting a terrible round either tomorrow or Sunday that will cost his chances.

How would a mortal go about auditioning a Ventus? In, say an S flex and a 65 or 75g weight?

I.e., who has them as demos?

Just call a bigger fitter and see if it’s available. My local fitter in VA did. I tried it but it’s a horse. At 113 mph I got no response from it. Too stiff for me.

Pretty sure he played 6.0's through his big year, wonder when he went to the 6.5's.

He's played 6.5's in his irons 4-9 since sometime in like 2016 or 2017. Had 6.0's before that.

Yeah haha, the fitter said when I hit it "Oh we've finally found a shaft that's too stiff for you." Pretty nuts. Made me realize how much faster DJ and others are swinging it.

Somehow I got fit for the ventus 6x by club champion with my 105 swing. And ventus 7x in my 3 wood. I’ve been trying not to question it but don’t know if I love it on the course so far.

This is honestly why it's important to get fit. Hopefully it works out for you long term. I wouldn't let doubt enter your mind because of my post. ADDI gave me the best bend profile for low spinning bombs, and going in to my fitting I would have never in a million years thought that would have been the best shaft for me. But it was and feels great for my swing. Your swing my be perfect for the Ventus. Just because my swing wasn't good for it doesn't mean it's not for everyone. But however my swing is like, with the ventus, it made it feel like I might as well be swinging a telephone pole lol.

The Ventus is not overly stiff feeling at all. Have to remember it’s not solely a swing speed thing with shafts, tempo and release play a massive role in how a shaft feels and responds. Just a quick PSA lol.

I believe it was 2016-2017 somewhere in there. Won the open in 2017 with 6.5s and most of the year before I think he had 6.0s.

Hey, Superstoke can you hook your boy up!!, that grip is showing threads!! What happened to replace your grips each year.

That's this years Flatso Traxion 1.0 ! I've been playing the Flatso 1.0 from year to year. Love the grip, but they dont wear very well as can be seen here. He won't change that til it's virtually falling off.

I'm right around that SS and I have no trouble with the Ventus 6-X in my driver even when I just smooth one out there. In fact, it's the best driver shaft I've ever played. Go try one and see how it is for you.
