How many days a week do you play or practice?

I have the free time to swing golf clubs every day of the week if I want to but periodic aches and pains are a disincentive - not debilitating pain, more of a daily aggravation. I'm always conflicted - should I play/practice today or should I take time off and heal a little and if I take time off, how much? Curious how much golf/practice most of the seniors here average in a week and if you take time off, how much?

small bucket most mornings before work, prob 3-4 days, after work, some foam balls off mat, maybe 24.

Play once a week - practice once a week. Pain pills for arthritis and flexibility stretching - every day.

Play 3 rounds/week, practice twice/week

Ideally I play or practice 3 - 4 days a week. Still young enough (58), I guess, to do this without being too sore. Ibuprofen taken as needed. The more I can do this the easier it gets, however, life and other fun stuff periodically intervenes resulting in periods of 1 - 2 weeks off. Try to be careful not overdoing when I start back up.

I usually play almost every weekend plus practice 3-4 days a week.

Practice putting every day. Hit at the range 2-3x per week at 90 mins per. Play 1 round of 18 on the weekends. Rarely get in 27 or 36 in a weekend.

I don't have the luxury of playing golf a much as I want.

If I do, It'll be wonderful to golf maybe 2-3 days a week. There are other interesting things to do in life besides golf. Plus this aging body with old injury probably won't allow me to golf more than a few days a week. At the present time, I'll need to preserve my gold instead of improving so, probably no driving range except for the shipping and putting practice.

There was a period of my life when I golf or practice 3-5 days a week. I remembered when I stepped away from golf during those times, my body actually felt it needed to swing the golf club to keep it lubricated.

I only play on the weekends weather permitting--- I rarely practice unless it is my short game---- Usually it is the regular 18 with Bear and the NY guys on Saturday. Sunday afternoons If I have my Church work and stuff around the house done I may sneak off and play a late round with the vintage sticks or with the minimalist sticks which are vintage too. Like you age and injuries has a lot to do with it. Also like you there are more things to do in life than golf---- I still work full time and even though lately I have had time to slip out to the course during the week frankly it has been too hot and humid

I'm at the course about once a week. I'll play nine every other week or so. Too busy for much more than that, unfortunately.

Every day that I'm not pulling 36 hours of work o F-S. Hit as many balls as your brain will allow and play a full 18 twice a week and 9 with wife when she is done working. It's more exercise therapy than anything else unless you have a regimented practice/instructor set up

Respectfully my regimented days of practice are over with since I quit playing comp and big money games about 10 years ago now. Back when I was basically doing it for a living I played 18 if not 36 holes a day and hit between 200 to 300 balls a day depending on how much I played. If you see me practice now it is mostly around the green. If you see me on the range itself it is usually dialing in a set of clubs I have worked on or hitting some that I have acquired. At 62 years of age my battered body especially my back can not stand that pounding any more

I play in two leagues and sometimes a third casual round. I practice at least one morning per week and sometimes chip and work on the short game in my front yard.

Just turned 68 and consider myself active as I try to play tennis once a week, and go fishing on Saturday morning. Also practice at the shooting range a couple of times a week and ride quads. I feel it’s important to get out and do things. When I first retired I played or practiced golf almost every day and that got to be too much so I diversified.
