Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 90 & 100 Shafts

I see where both Titleist and Taylormade are going to offer the 90g and 100g versions of the HZRDUS Smoke Black shafts in their new U500/510 & UDI driving irons. Does anyone know if these will be available to retail aftermarket? I'm gonna need that 100g 6.5 for my GAPR LO in the worst way - perfect match for my 70g and 80g in driver and fairway!!!

Can't answer your question but for this reason alone I'm going to purchase the UDI 2 iron.

Didn’t say but I’ll call my local PFC when they open to find out

have my eye on those... just felt like the OG was a little boardy in the Driver/ Fairway offerings and worried it may be stouter than i like. Thinking this "smoothed out" version would be nice!

We'll probably have to wait and see who's real and who's "made for" whenever PX releases the specs to the public, after they make the shafts available aftermarket of course.

The Titleist listing for the Smoke Black driver shafts do not correspond with what is on the PX website. They used to, but the new one has different weights and torques listed. Surely they didn’t switch to a made for version in the middle of the product cycle.

Titleist generally uses their own tools and measures shafts so they are all measured on the same calibrated machines. These can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer so that could be a little difference in the numbers.

For torque specifically there is no industry standard on how to measure it so it can vary quite a bit.

As @ForTourUseOnly said, there is no accepted standard for torque measurement so you will often see different numbers from different companies on the same shaft.

I’ve seen DB say something similar when a company lists something different on their site but iirc when you look at the shaft it has the same does listed on the shaft as px website

All I came to say is that the 90gr Hz Smoke has been money in my G410 Crossover, True Sports would be mad to not release this shaft for consumers to buy directly.

Bumping up an old thread for a problem I'm not seeing...unfortunately for me.

Playing the P790 UDI 2 iron.

I have a pretty quick swing (sits around 100mph), but I'm finding the 90g hzrdus smoke shaft too heavy (maybe too long also). Looking for a lighter weight and maybe a higher launch (understanding this will probably impact spin rate).

Has anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations on what to look for next?

Tour AD UT 95 will be smoother and launch a little higher. Length is what it is unless you want to shorten and load up the lead tape to bring swing weight back up

cutting it down will make it feel lighter. Worth a try
