Lamkin Genesis Crossline Cord grip

So while checking the Milled Grind 2 wedges of TaylorMade during lunch, I saw this would be the stock grip:

If I'm reading this correctly, it will have the softness of the Genesis material found in the Sonar golf grips, with the gripness of the Crossline pattern and the cord.

Do you think this grip a TaylorMade special, or just a pre-taste of a new Lamkin model coming out late this year or next year?

Probably just a TM special. Lamkin tried something similar (without the cord) in the past with the Crossline REL Ace, the grey one with the red butt cap. The Crossline pattern with a softer, more squishy feel just didn't work for me, standard REL Ace was way better. Lamkin didn't have them in the catalog for too long.

Really liked the feel of this grip when checking out the MG2, was just looking on Lamkin's website, this grip isn't listed. On a side note MG2 has been ordered.

It looks good, I could see myself playing it if it came to market. Don't care for any of their recent offerings like the Sonar or TS1.

Check out the Player's Cord if you are looking for a soft cord grip. I just re-gripped with them and I'm really liking it.

The REL Ace 3Gen & UTX are the perfect grips IMO

As for the Genesis Cross line I believe the new Cross line 360 on their site is a Genesis material grip. Also I assume the Genesis Cord will be a release in 2020.

I called Lamkin yesterday to ask about the future of the UTx grip. They said they are phasing that grip out but are releasing a new grip called the Genesis Crossline Cord grip. They said it’s currently on the new TaylorMade wedges and will be released to purchase in stores in the next month or two. They said it will initially only be offered in the color scheme that is on the TaylorMade wedge that is at local golf stores now. I went yesterday to golf galaxy to see it and loved the feel. I’ll be waiting for the release and purchasing for my irons next month when it is released.

That's disappointing to hear. I guess I'll be keeping an eye out for deals and stock up on them while I can.

Any more comments on these? If they're anything like the 3GENs they are super appealing to me. I'm sure someone out there's hitting balls...

I'm gamin them on a few clubs, but not long enough to comment too much. They remind me of the UTX but slightly firmer. Really like them. Can't comment on wear or different conditions yet
