19’ TP5x Best Ball In Golf (For Your Game)

I’m a diehard ProV guy always thought it simply outshined everything else. I converted to the TP5x last few years and truly I think it’s the best! Wonder if this is a common census or I’m just “unique” ?

I’m not sure any one ball can be anointed “best” other than “best for me”. I can’t get enough spin out of the TP5X to be playable for me. The TP5 works better for me. However I can’t get past the noticeable seam on the ball.

... TP5x suits my game perfectly and definitely my favorite ball. Higher launch and lower spin has given me more yards with my longer clubs and short irons have plenty of spin. That said, the 2019 Srixon XV comes very close to its performance and I just bought 5 dozen for $99.

For me the ball just has a great crisp feel, perfect flight and plenty of spin around the greens. Its very predictable and good in the wind plus crazy durable. Checks a lot of boxes. This is the first ball I’ve found that compares or surpasses the ProV.

I think that’s a fair assessment, but it’s also very lively if that makes sense.

TP5x great ball. Very impressive and good changes made from prior gen. You can get equal performance for a lesser price though. Hell, the Project A is an incredible ball itself. Srixon Z-Star and Q Star tours are great. Snell has a nice lock too.

There are a ton of options out there. THere is no "one ball". Except for the RZN Tour Platinum / Black...Those are still the epitome of what a golf ball should be.

It just boggles my mind that people don't get what you say in your first sentence. The ball that is best for you may not be the ball that is best for me. And vice-versa. How hard is that to understand?

... True dat. The Kirkland Signature + 3 piece was a terrible ball for me. Spins too much and cost me distance and accuracy. My wife is a good player and can shoot in the mid 80's. I gave them to her and she gained about 10 yards off the tee as clearly the extra spin keeps her drives in the air longer. She had been paying Bridgestone RX so not only are the Kirklands longer, they spin more around the green for her too. Worst ball for me and best ball for her.

You ask "19’ TP5x Best Ball In Golf?" ?

The honest and correct answer is that some might not want to hear is no. That goes for the best "anything" equipment in golf. We are living in an equipment era where we are so spoiled by the quality of golf equipment produced that we can purchase it's splitting hairs of what is "best"

There is no one best anything equipment wise. What exists is simply what's best for you.

I really, really, really did not like the TP5X.

I just did not get along with it. ProV1s (both regular and X), Bridgestone B X, Srixon XV... I get along with them all fine.

I play the Snell Black now and love it. Might try the X again some day, but the season is winding down and I still have plenty of Blacks in stock.

Personally I love the TM TP5x and the TP5. I used to play titlest just because they were the ball to play, but I love the TP5 balls ever since Nike stopped making balls.

You have done what everyone should do. You have found a ball that you like and that performs for you. It is definitely a good ball. As is every other "premium" or "tour" ball.

If I switch to one, it will be the TP5X. I still rock the ProV1 and like it but the couple times I've found a TP5X in the trees and tried it for a few holes have made me a little more open minded. If they ever do a 4 for 3 dozen deal like the ProV1 I will switch immediately.

I love the TP5X. It's the best I've played in the wind, feels great...nice combo of soft enough but crisp feedback without being clicky, is durable, and spins well enough on most short game shots. I like that it just stops without spinning back on most full iron shots. I have played in a couple of events, including US Senior Open qualifying, on really firm greens where a tad more short game spin may have been desirable, but overall this ball is near perfect in my view.

Im also on the tp5x bandwagon. For me its crisp but not clicky. The biggest attribute to this ball for me was keeping spin a little lower with short irons. I do not like a pw or 9 iron sucking back, and i have that problem with alot of premium balls. This drops and stops. Partial wedges under 100 still check up nice tho. It is a great wind ball for sure.

TP5X is an excellent ball, and for me perhaps the best ball off driver for sound, flight and distance. But for me it is a little low spinning on short irons and around the greens and a little clicky off the putter. I rate the non X TP5 a better ball, but prefer the Tour B XS over either of them. Having said all that I could happily play and premium ball without noticing much difference in scores.

Played a 19’ TP5x on the front today and a 19’ ProV on the back. I think the TP feels better but it does spin a bit less.
