Gap wedge with Cobra MBs

Is the Cobra black 50 degree the best to pair with MBs? I swing full gap 90% of time then just bump and run others. Typically like the set gap but Cobra doesn't seem to offer it

Just find a wedge you like. Who cares if it “pairs well” whatever that means.

The Cobra MB/CB is offered in gap. Its a fantastic wedge for the purposes mentioned. I play mine at 50* - KBS S-Taper S+. Its not very versatile for chipping and half shots, due to the thin sole and compact nature. Full swings is where it shines. I wouldnt hesitate to play the CB model in gap either, the tiny bit of size may help the visual. Here are some pics too:

You can build it through a COBRA distributor or order it directly as an individual club through cobra's website or tgw with all custom options too. Specs are also listed there.

I've got 2019 Cobra King Forged MB's (4-PW, GW with KBS $-Taper 120s) and feel that the GW in the set adds another iron for me for full swings. It's my go to for 115y-125y distances. I don't usually use it for partial shots as I prefer to use other wedges for that. I will say the Cobra MB GW looks very small compared to my Hi-Toe 56 and 60 wedges.. I have not seen nor tried the Cobra King Black wedges myself, but I did hear that Cobra will be phasing them out in lieu of the the King MIM wedges.

Glad I saw this thread, in the same boat, gap wedge is strictly full swing club and I found I'm more comfortable using the cobra gap then my rtx4 50.

Could never get into a full set gap wedge. Actually bent my cobra mb pw stronger to 45 and then filled it in with a 50 degree Vokey full grind gap wedge. Fits nicely

Likely means it fits in with the rest of the sets progression (feel/spin/flight). I'm a fan if set GW's as I play it as a full to 3/4 swing club 99% of the time. Even tho its a blade (like wedges for the most part), it will behave and feel different than say a Vokey.
