Shafts Similar to Project X LZ 95g?

So, long story short. I was fit for the new 2019 Apex Pros in the Project X LZ 95g in 6.0 (I trap the ball, deloft the ball and hit it **low**). However, you cannot get the 95g shaft in the Apex Pros because the 95s have a .370 parallel tip. My fitter got me excited about a combo and then at the end said I couldn't order it. Needless to say, I was pissed off and left without purchase. The Apex Pro heads have been outstanding every time I have hit them since. I am curious to see which shafts you guys say are similar to the 95g LZs? I have been told that the Modus 105 and the True Temper XP 95s are similar. I have hit both with good results.

If you've already hit them both, they you should have a better idea of which might be the better alternative then anyone else here. My guess is that the XP95's will be closer than the Nippons - but your judgment on the feel is what's important, not mine ;-)

I'd offer a suggestion of the Recoil 95 in stiff - but I don't think you could order that from Callaway either - since they generally only install the 95 in F3 and force you to go up to the Recoil 110's for F4.

FWIW, if whatever you order doesn't end up working out as well, it's really shouldn't be a big deal for a local builder to ream out the heads to take the .370 shaft.

Yeah I agree, just wanted to avoid that second step. We'll see what I decide to do. I appreciate the feedback!

I just checked the Project X site and the LZ95 are available in .355 also at GolfUSA you can custom order a set with that shaft.

Modus 105 are great shafts. Good feel and I had tighter dispersion than the XP95.

Thought for sure I saw the 95's there too, but I don't see them now either... sorry. Sent you a PM with link though where it appears you can custom order them with the shafts you are looking for.

Also I would give Callaway customer service a call and see if a set can be custom ordered from them with it.
