Any GolfWRX members on the Kintyre Peninsula?

I just moved out to Campbeltown any other WRXers out this way? I'm going to be in the states some too but the majority of my time will be spent here. I know it won't be a big group but would love to meet up w any other WRXers that are around here or want to come out to Machrihanish for a round.....

It's definitely somewhere I've been looking at playing being 6hr drive from home. The deal of unlimited golf is pretty appealing at Machrihanish Dunes whilst staying in the hotel. Which is your preference between Dunes and MHGC?

I'd be keen for a round, 4hr drive for me but given the quality of the golf, it's certainly worth it!

I'd love to host either or both of you guys anytime. I'm pretty sure the accompanied guest rate is very reasonable. There's 3 great courses here in town Machrihanish, Machrihanish Dunes and Dunaverty which is a shorter course around 5k yards but its on land better than pebble beach.

I really enjoy all 3 though MH is an absolute masterpiece . Just an amazing set of greens and great variety of holes. As someone who loves fallaway greens there's just so much good at MH. I also love Dunes its one of my favourite modern courses. Looks like it's been there for hundreds of years. The greens are extreme and its a really great challenge. The perfect compliment to MH. Then Dunaverty is just great fun on an amazing, scenic piece of land.

That's pretty cool and not all that surprised - well done! We flirted with heading that way on our recent trip but stayed close to Ayrshire when we were on that side and just didn't want to make the drive or spend the ferry time getting there - kept our vehicle time to a minimum. Someday though.

Hello @FairwayFred , I hope you get this as I don't seem to be able to message you. I may well be in Cambletown next week,, the week of the 3rd Feb,to play golf. If you were around and free, I'd enjoy a round with you.
