I know we have the "where are all the 2 woods" thread going - but I am specifically wondering how many are bagging a mini driver or 2 wood instead of a driver still with the craze starting to slow down some.

Starting with HS golf bag in the late 1990's I employed the Callaway Deuce instead of a driver for many rounds. This lasted an entire summer at one point before going back to a driver.

I have to this point now played:
Callaway Big Bertha Deuce with Proforce V2 (still have this club)
Callaway XHot 3Deep - 13*
Callaway X2Hot 2deep - 12.5* (two or three of these)
Now, my driver replacement is the 13.5* TMAG Original One with the stock stiff shaft. I enjoy hitting a deeper face fairway wood off the tee. I'm more accurate and don't feel I sacrifice enough distance that I long for a driver. I can also drop the odd or even numbered irons for a 9 club set up.

How many others have ditched the driver for long periods of time?

I played the Original One most of the summer and dropped my scores and HC. Best driving game I have ever had. Unfortuantley my son has it right now and may not give it up.

    How dare you sir!

Just kidding... not many people are carrying or making a two wood. The original one is the only one currently on market from a major retailer.

Tee has some options. There are always old school
    Options.

I think it makes a ton of sense as an addition to anyone who can hit it through a fairway.

A lot of companies are making 2 woods. They just label them as "3 woods" these days.

It wasn't all that long ago a 3w was 17*, and a 2w was 14*. A lot of lower trajectory players in those days used 2 woods as a primary tee club. It's taken a while, and it appears to be a slow process, but we're coming back full circle.
