Need a new 3w

I’ve been gaming an original Tour Edge Exotics CB1 3 wood for at least 10 years now. I hit it decent and pretty far but it can be tough off the deck. I was recently on Cally Preowneds site and saw tour issue epic 3 woods and am curious if I would gain anything by picking one up.

Really, I need something a little easier to hit off the deck. Are there any other models out there I should check out? Not sure if it’s important but I’m hitting a TM original M2 driver and KILL it.

Just got a tour issue m1 but I havent hit it yet...it's 16* though so I assume it will get up a little better than a standard 3w. So far, the easiest thing I've ever had off the deck in a 3w was the F8. If you want new... check out F9, it was also easy off the deck but I never owned it. I hear Ping's are also insanely easy to hit but I've always found them a bit slower. Sounds like the 410 series is hotter but I haven't hit it.

TS 2. Done look no further, it is absolutely awesome. Great both off the tee and turf. I love mine. Titleist has always made great fairway woods.

This is what I ended up with and I love it. Its fantastic. I also hit the Epic Flash Sub Zero really well, almost too well. The Callaway was longer than my driver in some cases, so it didn't fit well into my gapping.

To save a little cash I would look at f8 and 917f2. The 410 series is pretty legit for new as well as ts2 or ts3. All of these felt pretty easy to hit off the deck. So many good options. Find the right set up and you’ll be good.

These are some of their best, The 3 and 5 woods are excellent and very good turf results as well as tee shots.

TS2 is a great FW easy off the tee and I found it especially great off the deck. That said, I am currently using a EFSZ, like the poster above, off the tee it at times is very close to my driver which is not necessarily a good thing.

I have been liking my TS3 and it is keeping the 915 fd out of the bag that I have used for YEARS so far so good

Epic flash SZ...its beyond good. Great off the tee and unreal off the turf.

Epic Flash sub zero is easily the best fairway wood I have ever hit a golf ball with. Along with a properly fit shaft it’s almost like cheating off the tee. The face is deep enough to be great off the tee, but no too deep so you still get great contact and launch off the deck. Cannot say enough good things about Flash sub zero.

M2/4/6 3HL are fantastic. I have played dozens of 3 woods and tend to hit them all well, but the 3HL is special, especially off the turf. Even DJ played one.

Ts3 16.5 for me. I cracked my first one and have a replacement on the way. Best 3w I have hit.

I am loving the Mizuno GT180 3TS I got new for $75. Can be had now for <$70 with cover and tool. Nice Tensei Wht shaft. Love if off the tee and off the deck. Makes an awesome "snick" sound.

That's definitely not true

The g410 is probably the easiest to use fairway I have ever hit.

Don't sleep in the Cleveland Launcher HB, it's a very solid 3W. It's a little loud but performs!

I currently have a TS2 15* cranked down to 14.25* with an AD IZ 7X shaft and I'm getting too much spin on it. I'm looking for something better off the tee - I prefer a low bullet if possible. Should I swap out the shaft or should I change the head? Driver ss around 110-112, any help is appreciated!

If it is hard to hit off of the deck, why don't you get a 4 wood or 5 wood? I think I get just about as much distance with my 5 wood as I do with my 3 wood because I make better contact with the ball, plus it sails higher.

980's were garbage. 975's were "meh". The 904 were decent and the 906 just looked odd.

Cally Epic Flash 13.5 loft up 14.5 with heavy shaft is a beast and easy on tees and off the decks. Be sure to test this.

I could not agree more! Perfect three wood!!

I had a fitting yesterday and loved (and bought) the 410 lst. I found it very easy to hit and this is coming from someone who generally struggles and rarely ever hits a 3 wood.

I finally found a 3W I’m happy with after almost a half decade of searching.

Epic Flash Sub Zero. Callaway has a winner right now.

I have loved the Mizuno St190 TS since I put it in the bag, just magic

I have got on with the TS2, F9 Tour, and my ultimate gamer the M3 after my search to replace my Rogue.

TS fairways for the win for sure. Best fairway wood I’ve played to date

Same experience for me. Never loved or had total confidence with every 3 wood before epic flash sz.

TS2 is great for sure... still have mine but I did find a 917f2 today and I got basically the same numbers with it as I did the TS2. I actually prefer the shape of the 917 head over the TS2. I will give it a shot this week outdoors and see how it is but it should not be overlooked if you want to save a few bucks. Also the F9 I found to be very user friendly. 3w is a tough one... its like a putter, its going to be a very personal decision as we all see things differently but you have to like what you are looking down on.
