Re shafting new wedges

Would someone kindly explain the process of simply reshafting a milled grind 56 and hi toe 60? I’d like to pull the stock kbs and the s300 to put in a couple ns pro 950’s to round out my entire set. Not sure if it’s just as simple as pulling and installing. Thanks in advance

Super easy. I did several Vokeys (stock shaft to hi-rev's to 610s). Not sure what the tip size is (i just look it up on Golfworks) get a couple double bubble epoxies and a bag of collared ferrules and you are good to go. You could cut the grips off the old shafts measure and butt trim. Use a heat gun or torch to get the old shaft out, clean the hosel out with a wire brush and then clean with mineral spirits.

1. Heat the hosel with a torch, twist the shaft off using a heat protective glove. (steel shafts, NEVER do that with graphite)

2. Clean out epoxy left overs from the hosel using a wire brush (while it still hot, when its cold its more job)

3. Clean off epoxy left overs from the shaft, and take out tip weights if any (belongs to the head, NOT the shaft)

4. Cut off the old grip.

5. Place the old and the new shaft, side by side, starting from the tip, make a cut mark on the new shaft.

6. Cut on "the long side" of the cut mark, and grind down to target using a belt sander

7. Set a mark on the net tip equal to insert (often 1.25"). Prep that part with sanding paper so the epoxt can get a bite.

8. Mix epoxy

9. Check if the ferrule goes on easy or if it has a tight fit - if its very tight, warm it gently (old hair dryer, dont overdo)

10. Add a drop of epoxy to the shaft tip, and turn the ferrule over it (so it takes some of that epoxy), and use the club head to push the ferrule into its position. (IF A TIP WEIGHT is used, the tip weight must be in the shaft tip when you push the ferrule onto position, or it will be a opening at the hosel top equal to the amount the tip weight add to the shaft tip.)

11. Measure shaft tip to ferrule and control vs insert to make sure its all the way up where it should be.

12. Add epoxy (3 stripes), on the upper 1/3 of the hosel only.

13. Add 3 stripes epoxy on the full length of the shaft tip, and if a tip weight is in use, a drop of epoxy on the tip weight before you insert it into the shaft tip.

14. Twist the shaft down into the hosel to full insert, align the shaft in its correct position (labels or what ever)

15. Wipe of excessive spill of epoxy, and let dry. (if possible, fix the hosel of the head in a vise, if we let the shaft rest against a wall, LIE ANGLE might move against upright a bit)

16. When dry, Add build up tape in layers of 10 inch from the butt if wanted, plus 10 inch if grip tape

17. Flush the inside of the grip with solvent, then poor it over the grip tape, make sure ALL of the tape get solvent.

18. Add the grip and align the grip marks vs face angle.

19. Bump the grip end against the floor to make sure the grip is fully on.
