Played an interesting round last night...

The swing weight of my clubs was a bit light, but the course was stunning! ?

My wife just got these and I have to say it's absolutely mind boggling. I just Googled and found how people had made their own VR golf clubs by attaching a console to a cut off club. I've never been into computer games or gadgets, but I think I'm going to have too try and build a club for this, could be really fun. Anyone here done it?

Strange thing that kept happening (remember I'm totally new to this), was if I missed a short putt I would just walk up to the ball and putt it again. This worked fine as long as the putt really was short and the ball was close enough to me, but I kept forgetting and was well on my way to walking straight into a wall or table before that grid thing showed up to warn me at the last second. To beam myself to the ball on long shots was easy to remember, but note to self, you sometimes have to do it on the green too! ?

No. Looks cool. I suppose it's an alternative to trackman which needs a ton of space and is extremely expensive. This looks like a cheap alternative. Fun at least.

It’s VR (virtual reality). Not sure what the program I played was called. You are not hitting a ball, so it’s still far off from anything like real golf, but if you haven’t tried VR, it’s impossible to explain. It feels like you are right there inside the game! It’s nothing like watching a TV screen, it’s crazy.

Regarding hardware I believe that is Oculus Rift.
