Lots of recent college grads not named Wolff, Hovland or Morikawa of course. A few other names that caught my eye:

Andrew Loupe

Jamie Sadlowski

Cory Whitsett

Lee McCoy

Ty Tryon (!)

6 more sites are set for October, fields not listed for those yet.

Players who have no status on the KF tour or PGA tour go to one of several qualifying sites in the country. They have to shoot a certain score over 4 rounds to qualify for second stage which is in November (4/5 sites for 2nd stage). The players who then shoot a certain score over those 4 rounds get to final stage in December at Orange County National. The top 40 players at final stage get status depending on their finishing positions during that week. 1st get a full season of events, 2-12 get about 8-10 guaranteed starts and the remaining players from 12-40 get like 4 starts.

Have a few guys I know who are trying it this year, one for the first time, another for his third. The guy who is on his third attempt said he will likely seek am status if this attempt doesn't at least see him to final stage. I wish nothing but the best of luck to all involved in this, it's certainly not an easy thing to put yourself though.

Wolff, Hovland, and Morikawa not listed because they all have full status on the PGA tour. Why would they need to go to stage 1 of Q school?

I think you missed the "of course" part. :)

Umm...that's kinda the point? Most guys coming out of college aren't good enough to get to the tour immediately and have to go through Q school and the KF tour first. I didn't want to list all the names I recognized in the fields, though.

“Former Oklahoma State teammates Hayden Wood (-7), Stratton Nolen (+1) and Nick Heinen (WD) all missed.” Argghh, too bad for Stratton.

So we're talking at least $20-30k just to get to the last stage considering all of the costs associated with qualifying. Ouch!

Agreed Creedo... If you make it to second stage you can actually really play....2nd stage is where the pressure really is.... But you may also never make it on any tour because, well.. These guys are good.
