Price isn't, they are over twice as expensive.

It's pretty well know the O.G. K-Sig was a Pearl overrun.

Oh, so Pearl golf balls have been around that long and before the original K-sigs?

According to their website they were founded in 2016. It may have been their first run. Or the factory could have just be making a spec ball that Pearl and Kirkland had them put their logo on. These direct to consumer companies are nothing more than marketing companies with nice websites. There is no real design or engineering going on. They rely on the factories to do the work, buy the balls, have them packaged and then put some pretty pics on thier website. Same goes for Cut, Vice etc. Snell might be the only one with some legit expertise behind it.

Say what you want but my takeaway from all these "studies" is that your major OEM's control the process from start to finish, you get quality and consistency. The DTC balls are a bit of a gamble in terms of how the ball will perform. many cores are off center, dimples inconsistent etc. For the average guy this might be fine, but if you want to know your ball will be consistent ball to ball, best to stick with Titleist, Bridgestone or Srixon. Taylor Made is probably a good choice as well. I've played the Ksig 3 and 4 piece. The 4 peice is pretty good, I hated the 3 piece.
