Ping i25 Broke; Old Cleveland Launcher provided Career bests. Keep it? Or Go to Sub Zero?

Short story:

I had been playing a Ping i25 driver for a few years and liked it. I had not intention of switching drivers any time soon. Then, I hit a nice drive and the crown cracked, putting me in the market for a new driver. I found a Callaway Rogue Sub Zero at a pretty good price so I purchased it; it should arrive tomorrow.

However, in the meantime, I pulled out my old Cleveland Launcher TI460 (released October 2005 I believe) to play a couple rounds while I was waiting on the Sub Zero and those rounds have me wondering if I just send the Sub Zero straight back.

I've had Arccos golf since 2017 and in the two rounds that I played with the Launcher, I've never hit a longer drive (363 yards; it was downhill and the ground was hard, but I've had other opportunities like that before and have not hit 363 yard drives) and the best driving handicap at +1.2. I've been working on my accuracy and control a lot more lately, but overall most of my driving rounds are rated at 30+ handicap because I hit so many shots into penalty areas.

What do you think? Is it crazy that a driver from 2005 could really be my best option? Am I crazy to keep the Sub Zero? Or am I crazy to send it back?

Your on golfwrx you cant send it back! Cleveland make some sleepers.........

Why not keep both? Could be that a combo of that head & shaft on the Launcher just work for you. The SubZero will probably be a lot more forgiving on miss-hits, but if you've got confidence with the Launcher, keep with it until it gets cold and you want to make a change. This is WRX, you WILL want to make a change eventually LOL!

Those old Launchers were great. I have played them all except for the one you have. They were some of the best feeling drivers I’ve played.

Thanks guys. I don't know who I was kidding... once that new Sub Zero came in the mail, I couldn't give it up! After my recent success with Launcher though, I'll be keeping it around to see if it really works better for me.
