2019 Ohio GolfWRX Outing #4 - October 26th 10:00 AM (Sleepy Hollow Golf Course)

Who's up for getting together before winter sets in? So far this year, we've had outings at Scarlet (Ohio State), Heatherwoode, and The Virtues - looking for one last event for the year.

I'm up for playing most anywhere in the state. Let me know if you're available in the next month or so and if so, where are you located/how far would you be willing to drive.

I'm always down for some golf. I live near Youngstown and depending on what day I can travel.

I'd be interested depending on the date/ location. I'm in Cuyahoga Falls and would probably drive between 1-2 hours.

Weekend? Weekday?

Also, since two you are in NE Ohio, want to shoot for Sleepy Hollow again since we didn't get to play it last time?

I think I would prefer a weekend but I could do a weekday as well if that's what everybody else could do. Also, I think Sleepy Hollow or Fowler's Mill would both be excellent choices for people that wanted to travel up this way.

I think the best thing to do at this point is just pick a date and go with it. There is no way to predict how the weather will turn out or if a course will be aerated or under winter conditions....plus I will need to request the day off from work either way.

The only weekend that I have in October that I could play is 25th or 26th. That’s a Friday and Saturday

Okay, I added the date to the thread title to see if anyone else wants to join. I can't make a tee time at Sleepy Hollow for a little while yet, so we'll see if anyone else decides to join us.

Sounds good. I got my two man scramble Saturday so the weather looks good for that. Then next week is the one man scramble.....or what we refer to as the mulligan open. Should be prime time for leaves falling by then.

I was just looking at the website. It looks like a great golf course.

It’s in pretty good shape right now, some of the par 3 boxes are beat up but it’s just normal end of season stuff. Greens and bunkers are in great shape

Tee time is at 10:00 AM.

They have a range and 2 putting greens, unfortunately no grass range though

That's OK. You gotta limit your swings when its cold out. You can't be chaffing your nipples all up on the range and expect to play well.

I got some range time in yesterday and played 9 holes.....this should be some high quality golf on Saturday to say the least.

How’s the weather looking for Saturday?

Right now it’s saying 40-50s dry until about 2 but that will likely change by Saturday. It’s supposed to rain here Friday so we’ll see

Yeah, It seems to be afternoon rain. I'll have to remember to bring all the rain gear
