Bought a set of mb001s in February. I actually think those 101s are a little prettier. Not enough for me to change but you should just get them. You won’t regret it. That said, the new mp20s are gorgeous too. In fact I think all of the newer blades (p730, 620, Callaway mbs, mp18, Wilson staffs even the ping blueprint) all look phenomenal. It comes down to budget, personal preference and feel at the end of the day, I doubt there’s much of a difference in performance between any of them.

I just looked at the new MB 101 in person. Honestly they look like rebadged MB 001s, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But, I was hoping for a little more aggressive leading and trailing edge relief. I’m not sure if it’s enough to drop $2k on a new set if you're already using the 001s or MG 5003s.

Miura has stopped providing club specs such as bounce, offset or progression and sole specs, etc, or 2 irons, and their Miura Utility iron is almost ugly. However, they do provide head weight which I find kinda odd information because, like other specs, most people don't know what those numbers mean to their skill. No doubt they are following other OEM's beliefs that too many consumers buy into "pretty", only later to realize what they bought for 2K+ doesn't fit their skill and or mechanics, so they sell them on the secondary market for a huge loss.

That said, I like Miura quality and have a few of their wedges but won't consider buying their MBs or any irons for the aforementioned reasons. Good luck.

will you be getting fit before the purchase?

Miura's CB heads(GI) are super sensitive(feedback) and clearly let you know if its a well struck vs. off centered strike, can't imagine how those beautiful blades will be.

Yup. I mean, I've done irons fitting before so I know my specs but I'll probably still head over to Club Champion or UGP if I'm gonna be dropping 2 grand.

Played with them the other day inside and they look amazing. Going to do a fitting as I think I can get them for a good price. Just beautiful clubs. Miura has next level feel. Very different to Mizuno/Apex MB softness (definitely the most pillowy soft irons I've ever hit) but incredible in their own right.

I‘m really impressed with the MB 101 right now.

But as often as I change clubs, insurance is not worth it. ?

Just got my set built with $ Tapers (130x). They were def. easier to hit then I had thought. They sit beautifully behind the ball. I had some issues with the build and they are going back to be fixed... but first round in the books and very pleased so far. I've been using Steelfibers for quite some time so I wasn't sure what to expect with the $ Tapers. They feel a little stout when you waggle the club but the kick at impact felt fantastic. It was only a high of 50 today so will be great to see how these perform under normal summer temps.
