Course is better as a TV golf experience than that park course in Milano but nowhere near that crazy beautiful Lago di Garda course last year.

Good enough. 14-18 have all some unique personalities.

My fellow countrymen that suddenly woke up during the summer has gone back to hibernation. That is what the 60th parallel north do to people,

It was the sort of thing that should come with a R warning, just incredible. The sound of the ball coming off the face the way that it did, does things to me haha.

As soon as I don't see the opening tee shot I don't believe they will be able to do it :D

Milano Golf Club is a good course but wouldn't catch an international flight to play it; Gardagolf is fantastic, and one of the most beautiful courses you will ever play. Olgiata is a gated community course with awesome houses, never played it but looks pretty good, no views though.

He seriously looks like the real deal and I can see the marked improvement since the start of the year plus he's only going to get better. Scottish golf needs a top player so bad - it's been too long.

Big name halfway cut casualties: F Molinari, S Lowry, I Poulter, P Casey (I believe he was playing round 2 in pain)

He hasn’t impressed me this season but he’s still right up there in the Race To Dubai. I thought he was really poor when he lost in the playoff at Munich.

He knows how to putt that’s for sure so he can never be discounted.

I’m looking at either Matt Wallace or Tyrrell Hatton to surge thru the field today and position themselves for the win on Sunday.

Really?

Fitzpatrick is having a better year than 2018.

Singapore Open - 4th

Arnold Palmer Invitational - 2nd

BMW International - 2nd

WGC Fed Ex - 4th

Scandinavian Invitational - 2nd

Just feels like he is close to a win.

He's gone back to being the same player he always was before his 2 month hot streak in 2018. He has never been a prolific winner other than that streak in 2018. Realistically nobody should have expected him to continue that level of success. Look at his career numbers. They don't lie. Outside of that 8 week stretch in 2018 (Ryder Cup a bit later) he has only has won 5 events in 14 seasons of professional golf. Check his 2018 and 2019 results. He had that amazing run in 2018 that he will likely never duplicate. In other words his recent play isn't unimpressive. He regressed back to his norm. That doesn't take take anything away from how great he was for a couple of months in 2018.

In his last 10 events, he hasn't finished in the top 10 with a best finish of T11.

Yes, he isn't a consistent winner but he is a consistent top 10 machine. So his form of late is lacking to say the least.

He also finished top 16 in 3/4 majors and had a good chance at the Masters while winning Bay Hillary finishing 3rd at the WGC Matchplay all in 2019. Hasn’t played great last few events but his 2019 hasn’t been bad either

Thats my point, anytime he has had a chance to win he hasn't gotten it done but I conceded that the ranking on the Race To Dubai shows his result have been positive from a points/money perspective. I didn't see the Singapore Open and WGC he was very average on Sat/Sun meaning he never looked like even threatening to win but the 3 2nd place finishes were big chances to win missed.

He seems to have gained a little distance from the tee in recent times.

Agreed.

I was more referring to his recent form. 3 top 10's for the year is on the low end for Molinari.

I see your point.

Fitzpartrick is the typical steady eddy type of player. Let's see how he goes today.

He's chasing extra distance and the stats show his accuracy is suffering. Plenty of shorter hitters has done this in the past and been heavily criticised but Molinari has recent success so it will be a while before anyone seriously second guesses him.
