Which Snell plays/feels most similar to Wilson Staff's Premium line up

Having not played any Snells and being a fan of the top end Wilson's (Duo U, FG Tour), which Snell plays and feels most like these Wilsons?

I havent played the MTB Black but, the Snell MTB X, and any Wilson ball are on the apposite ends of the feel spectrum.

The MyGolf$py test included both Snell balls and the Wilson Duo Professional. The MTB Black tested around 20 compression points higher than the Duo and the MTB-X was another 10 more on top of that, so the MTB Black would be the closer of the two, but still not that close from an overall compression standpoint.

Seems like a weird comparison. But, I do like Wilson balls.

The FG Tour is similar to MTB Black.

I agree with Tanner in that it's an unusual comparison. That said, as it happens, I'm playing both the MTB Black and the Duo Pro these days. Here goes nothing...

The MTB Black flies higher than the Duo Pro. I find this especially noticeable with driver, the difference seems more stark with driver than with irons. If you are reasonably close to optimal with the Snell, and don't adjust your tee game to compensate, the Duo Pro will seem shorter due to this lower trajectory. With one of my smaller driver experiments recently, I found myself noticeably shorter with the Duo Pro, due to said driver being 8.5*. As it's also not adjustable, I could only do old school trajectory adjustments, which did improve the distance, but I expect the 10* model of same driver would have given better results with the Duo Pro.

With the Fast 12 LS I've used much of the last few months, I found the tee game distance was comparable after adjusting the loft from 9.5 to 10.5. I've not used laser or GPS to measure to a few yards, but have been in similar locations off the tee, with very similar distance to the green.

I can't say if the tee game spin is appreciably different between the two balls. I'd think not, but that's nearly a worthless comment. May have to defer to some of the robot testing for that answer.

Distance with irons and wedges has been comparable. I've not noticed any real difference in clubs required for various full iron shots around the course. Full shot spin is fairly similar, maybe with a slight edge to the Snell. A caveat to that evaluation: a couple months ago, we'd been fairly dry, greens were firm and everything released. Last month or more, some crazy rainfall, everything is soft and everything sits down on full shots. Meaning, hard to really say much about full shot spin from on course performance, with much confidence. FWIW, MP37 with DGS are the irons in play.

Around the greens, the Snell seems to spin more on pitches and chips. I play for a bit more run with the Wilson. Nothing egregious.

Feel is kind of obvious, the Duo Pro is significantly softer. It reminds me of playing wound balls (still have between one and two dozen, it's not just nostalgic memory). If you've become accustomed to firmer balls, or even mid-firm balls like ZStar or MTB Black, that softer feel can be a bit indistinct until you adjust. Especially if you're playing something like a Mizuno blade. I could see some saying it's too soft. Others may love it.

This is all anecdotal as can be, but I thought it worth sharing anyway. :)
