Ever been assessed 58 penalty strokes in 2 rounds?

Apparently Lee Ann Walker forgot your caddie can't like up shots for you and accumulated 42 penalty shots in the first round of the Sr. LPGA Championship and then added another 16 in round 2 just for good measures.

You can't help but laugh. She didn't know the rules changed, her caddie didn't know, no one told her the entire first round. No one. None of the other players, no one in the gallery, none of the officials. That's just too funny.

I'm just intrigued that they went back during the second round and remembered all the times her caddie lined something up for her. I can't remember what I had for lunch or if I even had lunch.

Apparently her plying partners informed her of the rule on the 15th hole of the second round. They didn’t notice it before that?

I vaguely remember a pro a few years back that called herself out for improperly implementing lift and replace. She executed lift and place, and was assessed a 2 stroke penalty per hole for the infraction. I believe it's still the highest official score in LPGA history.

Different partners in the 2nd round than in the 1st round. Like you, my first thought was what in the hell were her partners doing to not even notice this. WTH!

I read article that said she hadn't played a competitive round of golf since 2011. How did she qualify for this tournament?
