New TM Putters?

Apparently Tiger was trying out a new TM putter pre round today.

Almost looks like a training aid...


Looks like it is called the "Truss". A quick Google search doesn't show anything...

Has a name. Truss. Guessing not just an aid

Looks like it would go perfectly with Cleveland VAS irons.

That design has been made before. Anti-Twist I suppose. If the camera pulls back, I am sure Tiger is decked out ala Tin Cup with hat(dangling ball, straps around his knees and elbows........

I really hope this wasn't the putter Keith Sbarbaro was referring to on the WRX podcast when he said he was really excited about an upcoming putter release.

I am sure someone will think that is the greatest thing ever.........

Is Tiger going to turn into a marketing spokesman golfer now? Use this putter for a couple tournaments to generate buzz, then back to old faithful after the money machine starts printing bills?

I am guessing that it makes the blade have less toe hang and more face balanced. I am just not sure why go this route. There are much more aesthetically pleasing methods to get there if this is the reason.

Is this what Tiger will play in Japan?

He didn’t play it in the skins game, was using it on the putting green ore round according to people at the course.

Agree'd on balance but if he wants less hand just have scotty mill him a long neck....

I’m going to guess the support behind the shaft disappears when properly aligned, ala See More which has a patent on their dot system that they got Scotty with a few years back on his Red X

Very odd design. Anti twist??? Got to help all these high speed swingers/putters who catch it on the toe?

It’s for leaning on! You need a truss to support more body weight. Makes total sense. It’s additional strength for those moments you want to take a break, rest, and lean on that putter.
