Scotty Kombi armlock build

Don't know if anyone is interested but I thought I would do a thread where you can follow my armlock build

I bought a scotty Cameron kombi Long (400gr head)

The shaft is 42" and I'm going to take it all apart and send it in for anodising

My plan is to anodise the head black and paint fill with purple and white

The metall plate I'm going to polish up and the same with the weights

Changing the grip to a Jumbomax JumboFlat 17" this is going to get installed with the flat side against my arm If that makes sense

was removed easy

With a torch I finally got the plate out tomorrow I will send it to get anodised

Wetsanded and polished the plate weights and screws

Ready for paint fill :)

how do you get the proper shaft offset to make it an arm lok?

I have some YES and PING long putter heads I would like to try one as an arm lok experiment

I have a double bend shaft in the kombi when I install it I eyeball it and test it before gluing the shaft. I have the ball more towards the left foot then the middle

Pulling this thread up. I've had a lot of success with armlock. Not sure why I want to tinker as I'm putting great with my 5.5M but I have this idea in my head that if I get the right one it could be a life long putter as the successes I've had with distance control are exceptional.

Anyways, I've found one of these in MINT condition for a fantastic price. The question is, I have a guy who can bend it to add 3 degrees of loft. Is that sufficient for it to play like any other armlock from Odyssey or Bettinardi or do you have to do something different for offset? I'm happy to play the ball a bit more forward - I actually prefer that. Seems like the perfect armlock converter with the 400g head and perfect shaft length.
