I was recently watching some AK swings on youtube, and remembered how awesome his swing was. I'm sure that ship has sailed, in father time, Insurance payout, and his motivation and desire,

but wouldn't that have been great to see him still competing with the guys on tour? Has anyone heard anything about what he's been up to?

My guess is he spends most of his time smoking ganja and playing video games....but I'm just guessing based on his personality and general lack of perceived motivation.

He plays a lot of poker and pops up from time to time here in DFW, but never with a golf club or anywhere close to a PGA Tour event.

A bag of left-handed junk.

I know it's hard for people here to comprehend, but he probably just doesn't like golf any more.

I don't know how much of the online rumors are true. AK has never really spoken publicly to dispel or confirm much of the myths. Since he hasn't spoken publicly much about it, the rumors have gotten more and more like Big Foot sightings. I think he is just over playing professionally, prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and trying to live drama-free.

I really don't understand the fascination with AK.

His was injuries and he (arguably) took an insurance payout and resolved to never play competitive golf again. Unless you know something I don't the party stuff wasn't what made him hit the brakes.

Of course, the irony is that Allenby, of all people, is the source here ; )

"Allenby said friends here witnessed Kim getting back to the team hotel, in Allenby's words, "sideways" at 4 in the morning, less than five hours before his scheduled tee time against Allenby at Harding Park.

"Some guys (from the U.S.) who didn't play well played very well today," Allenby said after the U.S. downed the International team, 19 1/2 - 14 1/2, to win its third consecutive Presidents Cup. Kim, going out in the fourth match of the day, drummed Allenby, 5 and 3, running his record in the matches to 3-1.

"Maybe we should all take the theory of Anthony Kim," Allenby said. "Get home at 4 o'clock (in the morning) and then go shoot 6 under."

Asked if his comments were on the record, Allenby said, "I don't care. Ask his playing partners. Ask his team. He is the loosest cannon in that team."

Even though AK stopped playing competitively long ago and Allenby has kept going, AK's career still better.

Yeah, the Allenby, Hawaii, kidnapping, robbed, thrown out of a car needs many threads of its own.

We got 7 inches (18ish cm) of snow in Wisconsin, last week and I played today. I wouldn't count that it's over for sure with how crazy the weather has been. Possible that it melts and you get one last, soggy, round in.

It was his talent to "waste" if that's how he chose to wrap up his career. I always got the sense that AK didn't really care for golf that much and that's just fine. Hopefully he's doing something with his life that brings him happiness. As long as he's got money in the bank and he's happy he didn't waste anything.

I liked him because he seemed to not take golf so seriously. He played carefree and was aggressive. When he put the peg in the ground on thursday morning you'd almost think he was teeing it up at a local muni for a round with the boys. Top that off with a little flash and you had a really exciting player that seemingly had unlimited potential. In a strange way he reminds me of Koepka. Brooks definitely has a higher ceiling to his game but when it comes down to brass tax both men were aware that they were playing golf for a living and they'd still live to see tomorrow if they failed today.
