Greg Norman's Obsession With Tiger Continues

Recommended Posts

The guy still can't resist getting in a dig at Tiger after over two decades . This is seriously unhealthy to be this obsessed with another golfer.

It's usually the case when your idol completely ignores you and you are mentally unstable and obsessed. He's really all about unrequited love.

Get over it Greg!!

At every turn Greg has tried to use TW as a punching bag over the years and Tiger has never responded. Now in a desperate attempt to retain any relevance he does what he revels in, ripping Tiger and taking his shirt off (although it is possible that he simply cannot get a shirt over his big head).

There isn't a room big enough to contain these two. Two of the most egotistical and selfish players to ever play the game. Talent notwithstanding.

When I have written letters of congratulations, I can, quite honestly, say that I have never expected any kind of reply for them. In fact, giving a note to somebody and expecting a reply is pretty pompous, going to the media about it after the fact is flat out egotistical, self centered, and as classless as I could imagine.

Sounds like he just wanted to get some attention on the back of somebody else, and it seems to have worked, given we are talking about him.

When you do something for someone, and expect acknowledgement, that has nothing to do with the recipient. It has everything to do with you, saying, "Hey, look what I did." That's all on Norman. All ego and self-importance.

i remember how all this started. Tiger comes on tour, first year and was asked about the tournaments he would play.. .he included the Tiger Shootout. I guess he thought being under Butch, Norman was a friend. Norman was asked about it and of course his ego comes into play : The tournament is an invitation to friends....Tiger did not get an invite...he's never forgotten. He's forgotten Norman. Norman will get over this with a scuba dive deep in the Bahamas soon, flying his own helicopter from Jupiter. See you there Greg. No great white sharks

That goes against the age old adage "you must give to get."

It all started when.....

"It was at Augusta National in 1996 and Tiger was still an amateur. It was Raymond, Fred Couples, Greg Norman and Tiger. It was a misty, cool morning and the ball wasn’t flying very far. Tiger was a little nervous and hit a foul ball off the first tee. Well, then he got to the par-5 second hole -- none of the other three guys could even reach the fairway bunker, which was about 295 yards away at that time -- and he turns to his caddie and says, 'Can I carry that trap?' We all just looked at each other, like 'What do you mean can you carry that trap?' Tiger whipped it over the bunker and it was like, 'Wow.'"

Tiger is one of the most popular and well known athletes in the world. Can you imagine the letters and notes he gets daily? I couldn't even begin to fathom the celebrity level TW has attained. As if he owes something to Gregg Norman. God forbid, if he acts like a human being and you just so happen to be someone that he doesn't really care for and would rather not associate with, for his own reasons, he definitely doesn't owe anyone an explanation.. GN running around here like TW needs to drop everything he is doing at that second and appease this unhealthy obsession this guy seems to have. smh

Here’s my problem....I like everyone with an all time swing...

His reverse C was a piece of art...beautiful, athletic art

That being said, Norman is often churlish and petulant regarding tiger.

He always has been...

I don’t know why...

You never hear Jordan or Bird ripping on LeBron...

I’m not comparing Norman to Jordan but u get my drift...

I loved his reverse c...it was beautiful...

But he says some of the most teenage-girl-sounding crap...wow

Yes, but how many letters does TW get handwritten and hand delivered to his front door!? Good thing he has security or Norman would be hand delivering on his porch...ten minutes later after no answer he would probably start wandering around the property!
