PXG Gen 3... Jan 2020 (ST, Gen 3 T and P Photos added Page 13)

Heard PXG coming out with new Gen 3 irons....any one heard anything about it?

Sure hope thats wrong, PXG said they wouldnt release anything until its a big step up from what they got. Hence why gen 1 was around for so long and I can't imagine how they could have improved much on gen 2 already

I doubt it. Pxg has no release schedule and gen 2 is only just over a year old

I feel like PXG’s R&D dept is way ahead of the game in their minds so telling the general public that they have no release cycle and only release when the product is a massive improvement is absolutely genius from a marketing standpoint, it builds trust to the consumer that no matter when they release a new product, they can *guarantee* that it will be better whether it be 6 months or 6 years from now. There’s a good chance they’ve had the Gen 3’s in development for quite some time, probably even before the Gen 2 release so I wouldn’t be surprised if they release something fairly soon here.

Just because they tell you they won’t release something until it is miles better than it’s predecessor, doesn’t mean they haven’t had it in the works.

PXG GEN 2 irons were released early 2018....coming up on 2 years.

Wunder has been teasing something maybe this is it.. I dunno I would love some of their new blades but they are sooo far out of my range I don't even think about it.

For most companies, especially public ones, product cycles are usually revenue driven. Innovation doesn't operate on the same cycle.

If they have something new, it does make sense for them to come out with it ASAP. They are set up as high margin, low volume, so keeping some distance between them and the me-toos is essential.

Bet we do see something soon, its getting close to a normal life cycle on Gen2

Pxg has no normal cycle. I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited til after everyone announces their releases to put something out of they did

PXG has their ST blade irons that are $650 a piece. 100% milled.

I got an email today from PXG that says gen 3 irons will be available soon at their fitting studios. I got this email because I previously had a fitting session in their studio and bought a driver.

So a local PXG fitter or an actual PXG store? It’s just very odd. I’ve never seen anything from PXG that isn’t “polished” and blacked out. This seems like something a retail manager went rogue on.

Actual PXG store. The bottom of the email has a more branded PXG newsletter. I didn’t include that part of the screenshot.

I for one didn’t think it was fake. I suspected that someone at a retail level may have jumped the gun a bit. I’m interested to here more about these.
