Do you hate your follow through?

Do you hate your follow through and wish it were different? Does it looks "ugly" to you? Are you embarrassed to take it out in public?

Well look no further, there's someone out there with an uglier one than you!

Kind of a reverse Furyk but who cares, as long as it works.

Yours is from a bad back. Regardless of what your follow thru looks like. Serious props for keeping your game together with your back.

I don't 'hate' it but I am working on it. My chest tends to finish pointing a bit right of target and I suspect that might be one of the reasons for my fade/push.

It seems like your follow through might be the result of standing excessively far from the ball. It's hard to be that far at address and rotate through the ball efficiently. As your upper body is that far out over your toes, you will fall towards the ball which looks like what happens.

If you move the club correctly, which Obee does, it doesn't matter much how your body moves.

I think I actually have a nice looking follow through. It's sometimes worse because when you have a fundamentally pretty swing, people expect you to be a good player. My buddy is a 6 handicap and has a funky step through follow through where his trail foot ends up passed his lead feet by the time its all over. Everytime we play with a new 2 some he gets all the compliments since it seems to them that he is having the round of his life, and even though I shoot 79 compared to his 77, it seems like I had a bad day.

There's this chap I sometimes play with in the evenings. He has some serious hip slide going on (back and forward). But ruddy 'eck can he hit it long and straight?

Then there's my French mate whose swing is all arms. As long as he isn't trying to hard he hits it dead straight as well. I've found the trick there is to egg him on a bit so that he tries too hard :)

Would somebody rather have the swing of Adam Scott but shoot 95 or swing ugly but shoot 75? As far as I'm concerned what the swing looks like is just a vanity thing. The important part is can you make the little metal thingy hit the little white thingy in a straight line and make white thingy go in little round metal can in the ground in as few shots as possible.

How your follow thru looks is probably more closely linked to flexibility and mobility in the shoulders/back and pretty much has nothing to do with how good of a player you are.

Just had a nice 66 at Ojai Valley Inn in competition with my more "normal" swing. But a few over is the best I can do with that swing, usually. Just too hard for me to elevate the ball with that move, so on a legitimate course I'm really handicapped.

Exactly. I'd do the electric slide after every shot if it meant shooting 66.

Ppl worry too much about what their swing looks like sometimes I think instead of focusing on just getting that club face and path married up.

My follow through is the only thing I like - the preceding bit can be a load of rubbish! But seriously if I have a good follow through & finish position I have usually made a good shot for me.

Think of it as a twirl rather than a follow-through? In any case, the whole clip - from start to finish - is a master-class in efficiency. Thank you for posting it.
