Your favorite Biz Casual shoe?

My current go to is the Johnston Murphy Martell Wing Tip (brown) - which I really like - but I am looking for an alternate style in black.

So far I’m considering the following:

1. FJ casual wing tip

2. Cole Haan zerogrand wingtip

I’m looking for some ideas guys!

Ive got the Cole Haan Grand Essex Oxford and really like them. Can wear with jeans, a suit, chinos or 5 pocket pans. Tee shirt, oxford, polo, sweater. You name it.

True Linkswear knits. Comfy, stylish, lightweight and comfy. Did I mention they’re comfy? :)

The Cole Haan Essex has a nice look.

The true link knits are a little more casual than I would prefer.

I like the Cole Haan ZeroGrand's if you are on your feet a good bit. Basically the old nike free soles with typical CH upper. The Grand's are more of the lunar's from nike. (Nike sold them a few years back, but CH kept a lot of the designs, if I remember correctly).

How does that shoe fit in your opinion? My foot is a bit wider than normal, so if it runs narrow to normal then I may need to go W.

The zerogrands are the best shoes that I have ever had. I've got 4 pair of Johnston Murphy shoes that are almost brand new that never get worn. I go with the zerogrands everyday. I am tempted to start wearing them with a suit.

Tough to go wrong with Clarks or Bostonian.

I can't go that far. Something about the soles/treads just dress down the suit too much - even if that's what every sportscaster wears now. I prefer the typical leather sole for a suit.

They fit a little tighter than J&M. J&M regular width are usually a bit too (just barely) wide, but CH's fit well.

I have never been able to wear anything but leather sole shoes with suits, but I am closer to making a change. You are right about the sportscasters. I took my 75 year old dad out and got him a pair. They didn't have his size in stock, so I had them shipped to his house. A few months passed and I never saw him wearing them. I asked him why he didn't like them. It turns out that my mom opened the box and told him that he could not wear them. I told her to turn on ESPN and look. He can wear them now. He loves them and all of his friends are getting them.

Rocksport Capitals, a cap toe leather oxford with a rubber sneaker type sole. Very comfortable and dressy, I've been wearing them for thirty years.> @jdc944 said:

Your Mom reminds me of my Mom. She would always comment on something, and say, "WE don't like them." Dad would reply, " YOU don't like them." And that was that, Dad would do as he was told. They both passed in 2005, Mom at age 87 and Dad, almost 86.
