Proclubs shipping fees... ridiculous.

65g wood shaft

75g wood shaft

85g hybrid shaft

$21 shipping...

$12.99 + $4(X2)...

It costs me $9 to ship the same at my local USPS.

Agree that's crazy. However did you review the shipping costs before you bid on them? As expensive as that is to ship 3 shafts to the same person it's also on you to review the shipping costs before bidding.

No, it's a buy, not an auction. I added to cart, and saw what they charged for shipping. Plus CA tax.

$103 ended up being $134 in shipping and tax, lol.

Not to be a richard cranium however it's irrelevant if it's a BIN or an auction for those 3 shafts. That said did you actually buy those three shafts after adding them to your cart? If so there should be no issue since you would of known the shipping cost before completing the transaction. Even with the crazy shipping costs is the final cost of the 3 shafts including shipping more than you were willing to pay if they cost $134 if they were all listed with free shipping including tax? Just a thought.

Welcome to what its like in Canada. I can't ship a shaft 2 cities over in the same province without spending $25 in shipping. It's a racket up here. It would take me maybe 40 minutes to drive and that's what I get charged, let alone across provincial lines.

Proclubs sometimes offers free shipping with some of their auctions. But I agree, charging flat rate of 12.99 and then another fee for each additional item...purchases can add up

I’d bet anything if you call them they will combine them. I’ve bought many times and never thought shipping was bad.

I don’t want to speak for Proclubs, but I think many consumers are grossly misinformed on shipping costs and how businesses deal with them. I would wager to say they have done cost analysis on their average shipping cost, and it’s probably closer to $12.99 than you think. If it came to $5 per shipment and they were charging $13, it would be incredibly detrimental to their sales when compared to other retailers. They are charging what they have to to cover their costs and there is probably very little left over when you factor other exceptions(eating shipping costs during promos, shipping multiple times due to order errors, expediting to make up for a delayed shipment, etc)

It may cost $6 to ship something 400 miles via usps, but it does not cost $6 to ship a set of irons across the entire country.

Not trying to stir the pot, but there is more than meets the eye when it comes to shipping costs. Last I checked, the people who process your order, take your calls and emails, pull and pack your items in a warehouse, all need to get paid and there is not much leftover from your discounted item purchase.

I've bought and sold to proclubs before. I will no longer do business with them. They shipped a shaft in the weakest club box I have ever seen. Thankfully the shaft was still ok. Mind you it got stuck in Phoenix and they were little help with terrible customer service.

Good suggestion. I called and they waived the additional shipping. $12.99 for the three shafts. I have to pay upfront, but the rep took my name, and will reimburse (we'll see...), the additional item fees.

The other part people forget is the shipping cost can also be trying to recover the box cost, and the labor to pack and get it labeled. On top of that, ebays shipping calculator is completely messed up at times, because as the seller if you pick USPS but FedEx is cheaper, it still shows the USPS price. You can’t do much about it except pick generic “standard” shipping and pick the cheapest (obviously not how they as a company probably do it, but as an individual it’s a pain)
