Bonobos tech 5 pocket pants- any experience

Recommended Posts

Ive been looking for some more five pocket pants to wear for the fall/winter rounds and wear casually and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with these as they have a sale right now? I dont think they market them as golf specific (they have the lightweight 5 pockets and the highlands) but they appear to have cotton/stretch fabric blend so I thought they would be a little warmer and could be worn off course. I see that they dont offer them in straight fit. I have tried some bonobos athletic fit before and they were huge so I would assume i would have to go slim fit. Are they super slim? I dont mind a fitted look but I like to have a little room in the rear and thighs

Anyone comment on the fit and how they compare to other golf pants? I dont ever wear pants when its hot so this would be only for fall/winter

I got the blue ones on final sale for $50, just ordered the black last night with the coupon, pants rock. They have a bit more stretch than the other styles. I got my normal size in the blue, but went up one in black, waist seems a touch more snug than highland tour. I wear the tailored, as I am pretty slim.

On another note, if Nike ever puts the new slim fit 6 pocket pants back up, those are also fantastic pants, last year Nike 5 pocket were too roomy in the upper legs, seat, at least for me

I got a pair in khaki initially loved them and then ordered a pair in navy. I wore the navy pair once and from the items in my pockets looked like they had been worn hundreds of times (similar to the way a wallet would wear into back pocket of jeans) and they wrinkle insanely easily. I don't think I would recommend them

Do they have to be ironed?

Mine go straight from the dryer to being hung completely vertical , good to go the next morning

Same problem here—glad to hear they’ve fixed this this year. I do wish they’d release the club gold colorway again.

Thanks for all of the replies

One last question- for any of you who have the highland shorts, can you comment on how the tech 5 pocket pants fit in comparison (in the waist, seat, and upper thigh). The highland shorts are the only bonobos items i own and I dont know if the fit in the hip area is similar. I know their fit guide says slim and straight pants should fit similar in the seat and hips, but they obviously dont have different cuts for the shorts

Very disappointed in their lightweight weekday warrior pants, however I have 2 pairs of the lightweight highlander golf pants and lightweight chino shorts that I love. The lightweight warrior pants are the thinnest **** I’ve ever owned

I have the highland pant, which is nice, the lightweight 5 pocket are fine , but it seems like they have static all the time, kind odd. The Tech 5 pocket are the perfect all around pant for me.

i actually got a suit from Bonobos today, very impressed.

Echo'ing the above on avoiding the lightweight, but the 5 Pocket Tech and standard golf pants are MONEY. I've replaced all my golf pants and work pants with Bonobos now. I have big calves and struggle to find pants that fit without looking like they got painted on my legs. I'm "only" 34 waist so usually when anything says slim i can't even pull them more than 3 inches past my ankles. Bonobos slim fit is ludicrously good and comfortable. Now in winter on colder mornings (not that cold i'm in bay area) the tech pants come out, warmer days the golf pants.
