OK, the season comes down to this. $1.5 million dollars is on the line for the winner. 'Probably the strongest field of the year given that any player can win the cash.

The coverage looks decent. Double check your DVR to make sure it's set up to record the final round on NBC. I'm also going to set up a manual recording for the Golf Channel in the event it goes into a playoff and they switch the coverage to TGC.

The weather forecast looks perfect with sunny skies and highs in the low 80's.

This is a tough one to predict. With every player eligible for the CME Globe, the pressure will be intense. Those prone to fading on Sunday will likely fade again. Jin Young would be the smart pick, but her ankle is a concern. She also finished T69 here, so just maybe the course doesn't quite suit her? Nelly finished 2nd last year, and has a win and two other top 10's in her last 5 starts. Lydia generally plays well at Tiburon, but lately she's prone to one mediocre round.

I'm going with Nelly.

I can live with a slight tape delay for the first three rounds. It puts the coverage in a nice late afternoon slot.

She's been invisible for weeks. Hasn't had a top 10 since the Women's British Open in early August.

Here at the end of another season already... bittersweet.

From recent form and last two years' results, Nelly does seem a really smart pick here. She fits the facts best.

Looking at last year's leaderboard, So Yeon's T3 makes me so wistful. I really wanna, but this season just hasn't built up to it this time. Hope this is a good place for her again.

My main hope here is really just that Jin Young doesn't hurt her ankle any more. No idea how bad it actually is, any info? She's had a magic season, no need for heroics now.

My pick is for another great season: MJ all the way!

Very interesting one to try and pick. It all depends on on how $1.5m affects the psyche of these players.

My thoughts:

I feel JYK has cooled off, sore ankle or not. She seems a bit jaded. That might be physical pain, or the fact that no one can stay red hot indefinitely.

I agree with Mellow that Nelly Korda ticks all of the boxes and is the smart pick.

I also agree with an earlier poster about Ariya - I have a sneaky feeling about her. She has been piling up the top 10's after bad early rounds all season. You have to think that one of these days she won't start badly. But I still feel she is fighting her swing (and tendency to pull-hook).

Lexi has to be considered, as the reigning champion on this course. Horses for courses, and all that.

Then there's the other 56 players, of whom who I think about 40 odd have a real shot - including non-LPGA winning players Angel Yin and Brittany Altomare.

My final tip, is 1 time winner journeyman pro - Chella Choi. There you go, don't say I didn't tell you!

My ridiculous sport provider KAYO is not covering this one it seems. What da...?!!! I actually think the company is a bunch of geeks in an office who have no idea what their product is.

Of course, as does any player sitting in the top te> @"Raving Shanker" said:

I like the choice of Chella, nothing wrong with an underdog pick. Good Luck!

I'm sure she'll rise again. I was going to make a comment about how her length will always be an asset, and then I thought about Yani. Wow.

Altomare hangs on to get the victory from Sei Young Kim. Su Oh threatens with a strong finish to the end of the season.

I had lost about 1/18th of an ounce of respect for Carlota Ciganda for not playing out the Asian Swing to win the AON risk reward, but she got it back after that tear jerker press conference.

As had been said and repeated, this course suites Lexi, the Kordas and Ariya well. Lexi didn't impress in Japan. Swing changes and always a questionable putter, I'll pass this season. Nelly does an Amy Yang thing for a little while longer and doesn't win on US soil. I'll save additional picks of Ariya and Yu Liu for next season.

Did Sung Hyun have some Attack Girl events that kept her out of the Korea and Japan stops this year? Without press asking questions for us, it seems like an odd end to the season. If everything is in working order, I'd like her chances this week.
