Jason Dufner - WITB Nov 2019 - photos are up now

This is a great fit for Cobra & Duff.

I love this bag. Heck, I could copy this bag with a bit softer shafts. Just another reason to like Dufner — kind of a regular guy bag except for the premium shafts. The mid-size cavity backs (Forged Tours are so good), a 7 wood, the larger profile Cobra wedges. He is one of the best ball strikers on Tour and he ain’t swinging butter knives. When his putter is on he is a force and I’m looking forward to his year ahead.

Very nice setup. I was just admiring the CBs. I’ve never hit Cobra, are the CB soft feeling?

Love Duff. Dont get how he can use a driver thats 45,75 and still being tipped 1 inch. I thought shafts came raw at 46 inches??

New fairway wood, but not the new driver.. wonder why?

Hard to beat the F9 I would imagine. Very fast, low spinning. Or maybe he just wants to do more testing, think he has used that driver for several months as well.

Is he going to put the new SZ driver in play at any point? Interesting to see the 3w in straight away though. Also, those wedges look super customized with a lot of grinding done to them. I wish use mere mortals could get a tour style wedge fitting. I wonder if it would make any difference for handicap players....

Don't know if I would call them soft. "Butter" is always thrown around with blade's/CB's and I would not use that term with the Cobra CB's.

Excellent Bag for Dufner. Yeah, his wedges are heavily worked.

Because once installed the shaft will measure longer due to the hosel not being full bore.

Lovely BB&F ferrules on his irons. Also, the "King of Science" wedge stamp is legendary.

A 46" shaft straight in would measure anywhere from 47.5" to 48" depending on the driver. Raw shaft length does to equal finished playing length.

I would say the Cobra Forged Tours feel really good, buf they have a solid feel, more toward Titleist AP2 than Mizuno MP4. I tried them out at the range only and thought they were a nice iron playable by above average golfers or better. They’re a touch larger than some others in their class and more forgiveness is part of their appeal. Of the clubs we see gamed by Tour players, these would be among the easiest to hit.

As for the driver, he may not have it dialed in yet with the new one. No need to rush and leave his comfort zone if the F9 is working well. I’d be surprises if one of the new heads doesn’t get in his bag at some point.

Love these irons and wedges. I would not call those irons "soft", but more just real solid. They have a lovely feel and the soles are great as well. It's funny, but this is the set up with irons and wedges I keep wanting to move into but never did. Duff signing with Cobra is great!

Interesting flat stick. I can't remember Duf using a standard length blade

I’m in the market for a couple of new wedges and have not been considering Cobra. But they look pretty good here. Might have to give them a look.

Can anyone tell if the irons are the older tungsten in toe only version or the ones with tungsten in toe and sole. I have only seen the black with tungsten in toe and sole.

On the putter...with his lackadaisical putting, I dare him to actually use that old school blade in a tournament.

More players should use 7 woods. I use M4 5HL, and when Im playing really good it stays more in the bag, only use it on shorter par 5s or from the tee on short par 4s. But on not so good days I use it all the time. Goes from 200-220. I would say 9.5 out of 10 its in the fairway as well. More forgiving than a hybrid and easier to launch.

Dude you are so right and that alone is enough to have me get back into a 5w for 2020. Love this bag and Duff being signed. Lets hope he wins or comes close. I played Cobra for 10 years straight. But that was 10 years ago lol.

amt s400's in the irons, and then tour issue s400's in the wedges. strange. Why not keep it constant throughout? AMT's launch a bit higher right?

The Wedge/9i shaft is the same between the two sets. The AMT White S400 is an ascending weight version of the regular Dynamic Gold S400 and only launches progressively higher as the irons get longer.

You really can't go wrong with any of Cobra's wedges. I actually think they still are some of the nicest looking at address to date with their size and shape. You just can't find Tour Trustys or Rustys any more. If I had it my way, I'd have 3 heads for each degree wedge I have now. Should have never gone to Vokeys.

On the upside, I am digging the set. '16 Style CBs I am sure are only intermittently in the bag until Cobra really works with him over the coming months and try to get him in their newer stuff. I'm actually really surprised that the Forged Tecs got a remodel this year and not the Forged Tour. Considering their lineup of the MB / CB set, Forged Tec set, Forged Tour set, and their normal Game improvement sets. The Cobra Utility is easily one of the most underrated Utilitys out there. Incredible club with room for adjustment with a tool.

Last thing is the Superstroke Cord grips. I've been wanting to try these for a while in their white finish. Haven't found any for a fit yet. Supposed to be awesome.
