PXG gen3 irons w/ pics added

I was informed a couple weeks ago I was a member of the PXG1000 group which allowed me to get the PXG Gen3 P and XP irons now instead of January.

I received my new irons yesterday and all I can say, is they are amazing! I would post pictures but I still don’t know how to do that.

But I will try to answer any questions if anyone has any

I too received the PXG 1000 email, had my fitting yesterday. While these aren't a vast improvement over the Gen 2's in performance I love the way they look. And hey, who doesn't want new clubs right. Should have them in 7-10 days.

what is the pxg 1000? I feel like I missed out on that

They had to order the Tour 100i shafts from Accra. They didn't have the 100 grams as an option so unfortunately this will extend the wait.

Well thanks to the PXG 1000 club I don't have to wait until January so I guess I shouldn't be griping to much.

I think the Gen3 have an extremely solid feel. To me they are best feeling irons PXG has made.Trying to describe it. I’d say a heavy, pure feel. Something I haven’t felt in years

That set wedge is absolutely perfect. Why can’t other OEM’s put more focus and effort into their set wedges? PXG, Ping and Srixon just nail the shorter irons

They do replace the XFs.

Received mine yesterday and played 12 holes today. The XP is longer than the XF and seems to go through the turf easier than the XFs. Great, great set of irons.

The pxg master fitter was at my club yesterday, so I had the chance to hit these. They feel great and look great.

They look great I had to send an email to PXG and ask why I wasn't invited I have only purchased 4 sets of irons from them ughhhh

Performance update

had a chance to practice on course today.

i found every club to be a club longer and higher than the Gen2 P

the Gen 3 XP were even better than Gen2 XF !!

Dispersion was tighter too

Errrr the P is lookiing more like shovels now

I was told the PXG 1000 was sent to people whove spent $10-12,000.

Gen 3, as all the other Gens have different products for different categories to cover from the SGI to the tour levels

Agreed! I had the gen 2 0311 P's and they were right on the border of being shovel-ish. Then new P's look like they have moved more towards the SGI category

The Gen 3 P has less offset than the gen 2 but looks like the sole is a little larger and at address but as clean but still feel and look great. P’s will be a good long iron option and T’s in the short and maybe even the XP as a 3 iron. Love the mill work.
