Nike air max 1 G sizing issue

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had to go up a size in these? I’ve been a size 13 in Nike shoes forever. I just purchased the air max 1 G real tree in my size 13 and my toes are smashed in the toe box. Never had this happen before. Don’t see them stretching and no way I’m getting a orthotic in them. I’ve only purchased one size 14 Nike golf shoe the air max 95 and it is to big so I never wear it.

Would it be worth buying a size 14 in these and trying to sell or return the other pair?

i've got a much smaller foot than you, but definitely had the same issue. wanted to try on a pair and finally came across my size, 10.5. It felt like it was a full size smaller than any other nike shoe I've tried. if i were to get a pair, i'd go for at least a half size, if not a full size bigger.

Blasphemy! ;)

ive had two different experiences with the AM1s. The “money” version from the WMO fit me perfectly, while my bethpage versions not so much. The bethpage version are leather and not the synthetic material which is a considerable difference. Hoping the snake pack version fit more like the money’s.

I love the look of the AM1s I feel it’s one of the best sneaker to cleat transitions I’ve seen I love the 90s but the mesh killed the shoe

I’m a 13 and fit in the AM1Gs fine. Everyone’s foot is slightly different. I couldn’t fit in 13 TPs, too tight and the 14s were gigantic yet they’re a super popular shoe.

I have noticed though that the smaller released AM1Gs I own (Safaris, Reflects, No Denim) have a nicer leather/outer than the regular releases and fit better and break in over time comparatively.

It makes it tough for these limited releases if your not 100% which size to go with. I passed on the denim pack this weekend because of this.

I was lucky enough to grab a size 14 in the air max 1 G real tree so im going to compare the size 13/14 and return most likely the 13.

I did think they might break in and stretch a bit but not sure how the real tree material would break in as it’s synthetic.

our golf season is just under way here in Australia so which ever size I keep will get worn this summer. I’m trying to preserve my tw14 spikeless shoes. On my second pair of those and there don’t seem to be to many new pairs around.

I got my size 14 today and they fit like a size 13. Will be sending the size 13 back to Nike today.

I've got 3 pairs and a 4th being delivered - I have no issues with narrow anything. They fit true to size for me.

My size 13s AM1s fit great.

I’ve heard that size 13s in Jordan 11s run tight so I’m a little concerned to game mine in 2020.

NIkes have always had a narrow toe box. That's the last they use to build the shoe, so I always rock a 12 in any Nike shoe, whether it's a golf shoe or training shoe. The first series of shoes had that fake leather so it's really stiff. I'm hoping the mesh G's are softer to rock, because I hate how stiff they are and after 4 rounds and wearing them in the office, they're still very stiff.

Gents— I’ve got a narrow foot, so I’m not concerned about the width of these. I’m concerned only about the LENGTH fitment.

So, completely aside from the width, are you guys finding that you need to size-up because they’re too short? (Or is it really only because of the width for most of you?)

Thanks!
