One ticket...any tournament in history

Imagine you get one ticket for any Sunday round ever, PGA, Ryder Cup, etc....you get to time travel in history and attend any event.... which ticket do you choose?

1986 masters has to be near the top of many lists.... especially the back nine with the roar of the crowds...

Knowing the outcome and future of the players it might be the 2001 Masters. I don't know if we ever got a Duval, Mickelson, Woods shootout again after that and it would have been thrilling to watch those players fight it out down the stretch.

The 86 Masters. It was pretty big watching it on TV. Had to be real something to be there. Recently maybe when Tiger won the Masters this year.

2008 US Open

1935 Masters. I want to come home afterwards.

Any tournament Ben Hogan was in. Especially the 2 iron shot at the U.S. Open. I would have loved to see him in his prime.

Good question. Bobby Jones at Merion has to be on the list and how about Turnberry for the Dual in the Sun with Jack and Tom. Seve at Lytham or Sandy Lyle at Augusta. However I think I am with you and I'm off to see Jack win that last green jacket.

As a huge fan of The Open, I'd have to go with '77 Open at Turnberry, Nicklaus and Watson going at it. That was just a battle from beginning to end ... a couple months before I was born.

'86 Masters obviously. '60 US Open to watch Arnie's charge. '00 US Open just to see perfection. '08 US Open for the final (not-playoff) round. '92 Masters to watch Freddie bring it home. '19 Masters to watch Tiger's comeback.

'96 Masters for the lulz. (I remember the lulz when I watched it originally cuz I really wanted Faldo to win)

masters 1975, British 1953

Probably back to Ouimet winning in 1914 or whenever it was. I would mostly be curious to see quality golf being played while wearing tweed.

06 Open Championship at Hoylake (Tiger and Sergio final group)

Next would be 1977 Turnberry, then '88 Masters.

Great question and one that has really got me thinking. There are plenty of possibilities jumping into my head and I think that I could justify each and everyone of the options which are coming into my head but the first one which does is Tiger at East Lake last year. Just to have been there on 18 must have been electric.

I hate you people who want to go back to the 86 Masters, my Dad had to console me and get me to school on Monday morning. Whatever he became, in the mid 80s he was a god in Australia.

He got a lot of grief but now Azinger is showing us how awesome Johnny was in the booth .... as well as a ball striker.

IMO Miller is underappreciated by the general masses for his level of golf ... he was THE MAN for a 5 year run in the 70's while being a mediocre putter

I've had a lesson from him and used to follow him around the Canadian Open when I was a junior golfer, heavy bias

Johnny Miller won the only PGA Tour event I've ever attended, the 1980 Jackie Gleason Inverrary. It was his first win in nearly four years. I wasn't happy because I was rooting for Andy North who was also playing in the final group.

As for my ticket? I much prefer watching golf on tv, so it would have to be something not televised. I'd go with Ouimet's win in the 1913 US Open playoff.
