No thank you. Definite downgrade from the beautiful putters that he used to produce.

I think his prices have gone up. I was ready and waiting to buy one of his putters but now I'm not especially seeing as lefty options are starting at $700 and that's expensive AF.

I know taste is subjective and all but the idea of spending $650+ on a putter with those googly eyes is unfathomable to me.

I agree the eyes are terrible. But he does offer putters with Burns in the cavity instead.

I can customize any putter with some googly eyes and a glue gun. Plus I'd charge much less.

His earlier stuff just had a look that exuded understated class. The new KB stuff is overpriced and does not have the same appeal. I get this vibe

I agree that these are not cheap putters however it should be pointed that it is more of a Toulon Garage experience than buying an OTR putter. Get a customized putter the way you want and with only a few of the options up charges. He also almost hides that he is using imported GSS to mill the heads (whatever the validity of it's value) and other putter companies charge a premium for that alone. If you know your specs and how you want the putter to look than this is for you.

Also sure that Kevin Burns is doing the actual milling of the putter head himself and it is done in US on his own machines. Always a plus when the name on the putter is the same name as the guy who built/designed the putter!

I live in the Bay Area and had a putter fitting with Kevin last week...well more like a putter lesson that comes with a custom machined/designed putter! His extensive experience and deep knowledge about putting and putters is incredible especially for those of us who are students of the game. While the fitting includes a proprietary technical fitting system, the first hour was spent looking at my putting stroke and discussing my goals for that aspect of my game. By the time we got to actually fitting a putter design, both of us has a crystal clear view of what we were trying to accomplish with the fitting (beyond just a cool looking putter!). With that in mind it was easy to design a putter together that will be distinctive, but also fitted precisely to my putting stroke. He will personally mill the putter head and assemble the putter himself adding an incredible personal touch to the process.

BTW - the "eyes" are pretty cool - you can pick pretty much any image that can be seen through the glass (I picked dollar signs!) and they are ultimately made from high quality taxidermy level "eyes".

Overall a unique and incredible experience working with one of the legends in putter design...

That’s interesting about the GSS comment. I bought a used Burns 703 mid mallet earlier this year with the pyramid milled face. It’s an older version, but still looks similar to the newer models. See images below. Does anyone know if Kevin also used imported GSS on older models? It sure feels like it to me after comparing to some other regular SS303 putters, but I’m no metals expert. Regardless, the pyramid milling really puts a sweet, soft roll on the ball. This pyramid tech seems like the real deal to me.

I emailed Kevin to ask and he confirmed the putter is made of GSS. Like DrJACOB said, it is interesting that he doesn’t label the putter “GSS” since everyone else seems to do this since it’s desirable to roll with GSS. I own a Byron Morgan and a TP Mills (and I’ve bought and sold a dozen or so other putters over the years) and can confidently say the Burns rolls as well, if not better, than all of them. If you don’t like the eyes and/or graphics, just order one without. I would guess it’s the pyramid groove experience you’re paying for...it’s definitely a good/different feel than other putters I’ve rolled. I’d love to try out the “reptilian” or “web” insert to compare...
