New wedge set recommendations - extremely picky :(

I've been trying to upgrade my wedges for years now and i just cant seem to find anything that checks all the boxes. I am obnoxiously picky about how my clubs look and feel. Currently using the Mizuno T-7 which i love the looks of. They aren't as soft as I would like them to be but it was the best compromise i could find. I had hopes for T-20 but they look chunky as hell. I have little experience with JDM wedges, is there something that I should look at that checks the below boxes.

Here are my MUST haves:

1) Forged - rules out Vokey and Ping - the glide forged really had my attention until i hit them and they were a little harsh for my liking. I played RTX 3.0 and liked them but the offset got to me eventually. I don't care for the look of RTX 4

2) Traditional players look - rules out new options like milled Grind 2 and MD5 as i just cant get on board with the looks of them unfortunately

3) Thin top line

Please help me, I am sick!!!

for what you're looking for you pretty much eliminate 90% of the market lol..... you will probably have to go the JDM route. There is a Vokey cold forged wedge available

Give the Cobra MIM a look. A bit shiny for me but, definitely an extremely overlooked wedge. Not forged but not a clicky option at all.

Dude i wish i could even bring myself to try these but i just cant stand the looks. Mainly on the back of the club, the circles. I know it is silly but buying these would be stupid cuz they wouldnt stay in the bag long. Every single person who uses these swears by them tho.

For the price you'll pay to get some JDM options I'd look at National Custom Works. You'll get exactly what you want that way.

Take a look at the Callaway Mack Daddy Forged wedges from 2017. The model has lofts range from 50* to 60*. According to designer Roger Cleveland, the model's R-grind "is a 'mid-bounce' grind, suitable for everything from open-faced lobs to square-faced bump and runs." (From GolfWRX).

R-grind similar to Callaway's longtime C-grind.

Callaway Pre-Owned has six screens of the MD Forged. Most all have an Average rating, however, meaning the grooves are starting to wear. Don't know if CPO could scare you up three "like new" or not.

If you find them interesting, contact Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore and ask if they have any lurking in their supply chain. Or, go to a January golf expo and see if you can find some in the clearance barrels.

Agree with @balls_deep go NCW. Might be able to find some scratch wedges, which tick a lot of boxes for a touch cheaper. Not sure if Artisan is available but would be worth a look as well. JDM could work if you know what you are looking for. Also, Bridgestone makes very underrated, soft wedges. The j15’s were fantastic. Take stroll on the tour spec golf website for some fun window shopping for JDM route.

Unfort partner I'm not sure what to tell you. If Mizuno, Cleveland, Ping and Vokey wedges are out (which are objectively some of the best wedge companies in the market) you're going for some obscure stuff. Miura Milled Tour or Wilson FG Tour maybe?

You mentioned the wedges aren't soft, what 1) ball and 2) shaft are you playing?

From the US, Piretti makes some very nice wedges that would check all your boxes. Here are some pics of my wedge. Feels amazing. And almost too pretty to hit...

If you are open to going broader, then the new Miura Tour wedge series would work very well too. Might be worth checking out Honma as well.

Epon or Artisan maybe? Not sure if forged. Also don't see why somebody needs a forged wedge, Glide 2/3 feel great, T20 feels great and so does RTX. I know those are on your poo-poo list but the wedge you're looking for may not exist in retail. IDK about you but I'm not paying $300 a wedge for some custom JDM job when I'm using these things to hack balls out of bunkers and lord knows what else.

I switched to Yururi Tour wedges this year and love them. Short game has never been better.

I bought the heads on Ebay, and with Modus 125 shafts, paid less than $200 each.

some great suggestions, thanks everyone! i cant help to like what i like even if i have to pay a premium. I am now convinced these wedges do exist just not from the big boy manufacturers in the states.

Just get National Custom Works to make you exactly what you want. From there Edel would be another good option or go the JDM route.
