FoundGolfBalls.com SCAM Srixon Z-Star XV Bait & Switch

So for the Black Friday sale, I ordered several dozen MINT (5a) Srixon Z-Star XV golf balls (50% off). At checkout they offered a free logo or lettering. I'd done it through Srixon themselves before and figured why not? So I uploaded a small image and thought I got a great deal. Found Golf Balls won't get my business ever again!

Balls arrived today and I opened the package to check the quality. I don't even think these are Z-Star XV's, let alone even Srixon. They obviously painted the whole ball! And they did a poor job of doing that. I didn't want a refurbished ball! The font is wrong, the color of the ball is wrong, the script is sloppy and not aligned right. Next I notice that the dimples don't look right. Nope, many look like the hex pattern of Callaway! The paint job they did isn't even uniform throughout. Some balls have thicker paint than others. I kind of think I got an assortment of balls that were NOT mint to start with. I can see paint scuffs and hangers that were just painted over!

I think the offer of a free logo is a scam to dump old cheaper stock and try to pass it off as a premium ball.

I've attached a pic. Notice the font, alignment, color, and incorrect dimple pattern/shape. The THREE balls all on the RIGHT are new out of the box REAL Srixons. Worst part of this is later that night, when I first ordered, I placed a similar order for more! I'm sure when they arrive I'll have the same sloppy refurbished mess again. I'm going to demand a refund. They can pay shipping to get this trash back to them.

Are you sure there was no fine print in the 50% off offer? I just can't believe a business would have the cojones to try to pull something like that off.

There are many subtle middle fingers thrown at us all the time, and we never even realize it. This is one example.

Good god those are terrible. The middle Srixon "1" ball is especially terrible, soo bad I had to laugh a bit at the attempt, but those idiots still sent that hack job out to you the customer. I wonder how many other customers got hosed.

I ordered 2 dozen TaylorMade Tour Preferred X and 2 Dozen Titleist Prov1x from them (both 5A grade).

The ones I got look pretty good. A few suspect ones and a couple that aren't exactly what I ordered (regular Prov1 instead of X).

I haven't played them yet but hopefully they are okay.

One thing to keep in mind if you try to order from sites like this: Order the ones WITH LOGO. Because why would they repaint a ball just to put a random logo on it? The ones with logo I would think must be legit. Hopefully they are just not water logged.

I'll go back to buying new balls after this . . .

As I expected, 5 days in a row now, nobody there will answer the phone.

Move sent them a couple emails. Again, still waiting to hear back. I replied to one of their emails when they confirmed my order, but it may be an automated message that can’t be replied to. I’ve also used their website “contact us” tab and emailed them through their own system.

Mid they don’t take care of this the right way, I’m going to my bank and doing a chargeback for both orders.

They are a bad company with shady business practices!

I'd say don't even bother waiting for a reply, just go straight to your bank or credit card. Places like this tend to be quick to respond when hit in the wallet.

“We can assure you they are srixon balls not Callaway balls they are all generations. The repainted balls play the same as non repainted. You may return for exchange but note we do not pay for customers return shipping costs.”

I sent him a reply as follows:

”The three balls all on the far right are new out of the box. They are the real deal. 

Look at the dimple patterns on some of those other balls! Look at the top left ball. That’s a hex dimple pattern. How could that have ever been a Z-Star XV of ANY generation?

Look at the shitty lettering. Look at the alignment aids. The lettering doesn’t even line up! Look at the bottom center ball. That Srixon logo is janky. That’s NOT an added logo either. That’s a refurbished and totally repainted ball.

In short, that is NOT what I ordered in any way. It’s a refurbished ball at this point. Definately not what I ordered. 

I’d like a refund at this point.”

HERE’S WHAT HE SAYS:

”Thanks for this. We sell 20 million golf balls per year and are the leaders in refurbished balls. Rest assured the product is authentic. We will gladly issue you a refund. You need to send the product back to us for this to happen.”

Yeah...Foundgolfballs.com sucks - I did not have an issue this blatantly bad, but it was not good.

I will only use Lostgolfballs these days - never an issue, fast to respond if needed. One time I complained about some balls not being mint, they sent a whole dozen to replace the 4-5 I sent pics of.

I highly recommend golfballsdirect.com.

File a chargeback with your CC compnay. For srixon XV balls, buy them in performance packs and dont even bother with used/recycled/fake. I prefer the 2017 ball

man that's horrible quality. that's my fear of purchasing "used" golf balls. I know many are legit and have good prices but I don't want to chance it. simply follow "golf_ball_guts" on IG to know why.

Any chance you could peel away some of the paint, revealing the Callaway logo and prove they are a repainted Callaway? That may be your best bet for a full refund and they pay shipping. Otherwise i agree with all others and file a CC complaint, you will be fully refunded in that case.

I used lostgolfballs in the past with success. I purchased a Titleist Pro V1x bucket, all but maybe 2 or 3 were in really good condition. Those 2 or 3 probably looked how my normal ball would look after a few holes.

wow, thats bad and also hilarious. I would report this to srixon too, a lot of those clearly arent srixon balls they are repainting and they should really sue them for that.

Yet they refuse to do anything for me. They insist these are all Z-Star XV balls. They’re obviously not. I’m going to my bank on Monday to try and do a chargeback on both orders.

Banks tend to side with customers. You'll be able to do a full charge back I'd bet.

I told them I’m not paying shipping for 18 dozen golf balls back to Canada. I had two orders, one for 10 dozen, another for 8 dozen. Shipping from the West coast to Ontario Canada will be expensive I assume. They aren’t willing to send me a shipping label or even admit they screwed this up. So what am I to do? I’m hoping my bank will see this as I do and fix it on my end. foundgolfballs can have them back once they send me a shipping label.

This is their fault and fraudulent. You can see those aren’t Srixon balls. Why should I be out anything to ship their garbage back to them?!?
