Show us your Shop

Winter time is upon many of us so I thought this would be a good time to possibly make some changes to my home shop setup. I'm always interested in seeing what other people have in their shop and how they lay it out. Please post a picture or description with details about your shop and if you have any interesting features/ideas/must have equipment you think others might find useful/helpful. Thanks.

Going outside to take a picture of mine right now.

NCPS9FJW5KCC.jpgHere is my workspace. Shaft puller and vise up front. Workspace in the middle, frequency meter behind, grip station at the far side of the table. I put folding shelf brackets on the gripping station so I can keep it tucked away until needed. Drill, heat gun, Dremel saw hanging in front. Loft/lie in back. Table is probably 9x3 feet but I wish it was bigger.

This is how it was, its all gone now as im retired, but i got a mail the other day who got me thinking....the mail was from Ari at National custom works (former Scratch Golf)....yeah i miss those days and club grinding was my favorite.

First photo is the drill press, and the grip station. The drawers are storage fro drill bits, and grips

This is the Vacuum bench, dust of carbon fibers is no good for our lungs, but i made vacuum covers to all machines here, also the ones for polish

Shaft storage build in the roof with almost unlimited space.. The drawers on the vacuum bench was storage for club heads.

All of these are very nice. Howard's is incredible. Looking forward to seeing more of @RyanBarathWRX's new setup too.

Haha i have not seen your comment before, but there was no "evil" there, and in Denmark they called me "The Wizard from Saeby"...i was known to make "longer hitting drivers" and good hand grinded wedges, thats what they know me for there.

I was very happy for the shaft storage solution. they was sorted by weight Light to the left, up or heavy to the right, but all shafts was weighted in and FLO tested with labels on arrival, but when you have "all option" both After marked and Tour issue models, you need some meters of storage even if they lay side by side and 1 shaft is only 15.2 mm as diameter

The shop was close to ideal to work in, tools is in the top drawer so each location is a "work station" with all you need for that task present, but i cant find all the photos i made of "smart details" but i had stuff like Mitchells Tour Van shaft grip shredder combined with a butt knot next to or above the trash drawer so scraped off tape fall into the trash by itself. The grip tape scraper also comes from Mitchell.

From drawer #3 and down i had storage of club heads from wedges to drivers. (top drawers was for club making tools and supplies like polish and belts)

WNMVBO5JNYDV.pngAnother drawer of club heads, here Scratch wedges model 8620 - all model and lofts (another drawer for the Scratch 1018 model)

8C46RBVGISEF.pngBy hiding all small tools and stuff in the top drawer its possible to keep the place in order and clean since its minimal whats out in the open room. Be careful with dust from graphite shafts, its very harmful to breathe in, was it of WET so the dust its trapped and stopped from circulating in the room. I sprayed "grip solvent" for above and down over the bench each day so it became "misty" or light wet, then i washed off all the dust trapped with a wet cloth. This way we keep the working area without harmful carbon fiber dust.
