Thread titles with the bold font seem fine. However the font and font size within a post and emojis are too small. TBH the font and its actual size used in a post are too small and looks cheap/horrible. No reason for that. Hopefully that can be fixed provided Vanilla will allow for that without super secret permissions and continual jumping through hoops that freeware forum software allows. I sure it's on the "list" of issues that need fixed that might never take place.

The only problem I have is that threads with new comments don't go unbolded after I've read them (kinda like "marked as read"). Size is fine though.

I know you HAVE to make changes but I really enjoyed the way things were so if it has to change, change it. But things like the bold topics and font sizes could stay the same, that would be just fine.
